외국어 학습에서의 폴란드어 목적격의 비전형적 어형 변화에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 폴란드어 명사 목적격의 비전형적인 어형 변화에 대해 알아보고, 코퍼스와 설문 조사를 통해 실제 언어생활에서의 사용 양상을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 또한 외국어 학습의 관점에서 비전형적 어형 변화를 따르는 어휘의 효과적인 교수 방안에 관해서도 고찰해 본다. 비전형적 어형 변화는 비문법적이지만 모국어 화자들 사이에서 문법적 형태에 비해 더 널리 사용되는 것으로, 외국인 학습자가 대화 상황 속에서 비전형적 어미를 사용하여 자연스럽게 발화할 수 있도록 하기 위해 반드시 교육해야 하는 요소이다. 선행 연구자들은 특정 의미 범주의 어휘에서 이러한 특징이 나타난다고 하나 의미 범주만으로는 비전형적 어미 사용을 일관되게 설명하기에는 어려움이 있다. 동일한 의미 범주일지라도 어휘에 따라 비전형적 어미 사용에 대한 양상이 다르게 나타나기 때문이다. 본 논문은 비전형적 어미를 사용하는 모든 어휘에 대해 체계적이고 명확한 기준을 제시하기에는 부족함이 있지만, 기존 사전과 실제 언어자료인 코퍼스와 모국어 화자의 설문 조사를 통해 초급의 학습자들이 자주 사용하는 일부 어휘들의 사용 양상을 관찰하였다. 이는 교수자의 입장에서 초급 학습자를 가르치기 위한 하나의 기준을 설정하는 데에 도움이 될 것이며, 언어생활에서의 비전형적 어미 사용에 대한 변화를 살펴볼 수 있는 중요한 자료가 될 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to look at an atypical inflection of the Polish masculine inanimate accusative case and confirm its usage in the real world by using the National Corpus of Polish and a survey. In addition, this study will look into their effective teaching methods from the standpoint of foreign language learning. According to previous experts, atypical morphological changes in the accusative case have been discovered since the early twentieth century and have been commonly used among Polish native speakers in recent decades. In general, the accusative case of a masculine inanimate noun has the same form as the nominative case. Some words, however, show this atypical inflection as a genitive case form. Several articles show that native Polish speakers are also confused about the use and distinction between typical and non-typical forms. Moreover, the accusative singular forms are written differently in each dictionary. Some dictionaries also mark both atypical and typical forms, while others suggest only one atypical or typical form. Previous studies discovered that this phenomenon occurs in specific semantic categories, but when you look at some words in the same semantic categories, they must use only typical changes. As a result, the semantic category cannot consistently account for the use of atypical endings. The analysis results showed that the use of atypical endings differed even if the vocabulary was included in the same semantic category. It was very difficult to systematize the use of atypical endings, but the vocabulary studied can be divided into four categories: words that always use atypical endings; words in which typical and atypical endings are used evenly; words with the main use of atypical endings; and words with the primacy of typical endings. Instructors must have a full understanding of the practical use of atypical endings, and rather than presenting learners with vocabulary that has atypical changes all at once, it would be more efficient to explain the language changes of each word with appropriate examples in related topics or situations.
