金宗直 시문의 『시경』 운용 및 그 의미

국문 초록

경전이 근본이념이었던 金宗直은 百廢待興의 조선 전기 經術에 대한 궁구를 통해 유교의 이상사회를 구축하고자 고심했던 사대부문인이다. 본고는 제 경술 중 가장 많이 언급했던 『시경』을 상대로 詩文에서의 운용 양상 및 그 의미를 다루었다. 구체적으로 경문일체와 天稟의 문학관, 인덕의 이미지 표출을 중심으로 한 문학론의 실제, 문의 『시경』 운용의 의미 등을 고찰했다. 점필재는 새로운 왕조의 건국이념에 착안하여 청소년 시절부터 배우고 궁구 터득한 『시경』 등 경술을 적용해 이상 사회를 구축하는데 대응책을 마련하고자 노력했다. 특히 그중 경문일체와 천품의 문학관은 젊어서부터 문장을 포함한 경술의 궁구에 게으르지 않았던 점필재의 심혈이 깃들어 있었음이 감지된다. 그것의 결실로, 문학관의 실제로 인덕 중심의 경술궁구과정이 시를 통해서 형상화 되었고, 仁德의 내용이 특정 이미지로 다양하게 詩化되었다. 그리고 關雎․麟趾의 美意에 근본한 政敎․制作, “徹桑之計”의 국방의식, “殷鑑不遠”의 鑑戒의식, 國家隆衰의 內治의식 등은 모두 평소에 궁구, 융회했던 『시경』에서 준거를 찾았다. 연구를 통해 점필재의 제반 사고방식, 문학관 내지 시문창작에 있어서 『시경』의 역할이 컸음을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

Kim Jong-jik was a scholar-official[士大夫文人] in devastated early Cho sun dynasty, who had taken Confucian scriptures as fundamental ideology and had struggled to establish an ideal society of Confucianism by studying thoroughly Confucian classics[經術]. The Book of Odes had been quoted most frequently than other Confucian classics in his poems. Therefore, this paper deals with the aspects of the Book of Odes’ application in his poems and aims to trace the countermeasure to the ideal society which he had struggled to establish. As a result, some conclusions can be drawn as below. The Confucian classics like The Book of Odes and others are the roots of the articles; The religion and politics[政敎] and institutions[制度] are based on good intension of “Guanjeo (關雎)”; The failed king is today’s lesson; The domestic administration[內治] is related to national prosperity and decay; The articles could also be written well by the noble men or princes and marquises[公侯貴人]. The benevolence[仁德], womanhood[婦德] and other images were reviewed in the last poem. There are many applications of poetic themes[詩旨] and pregnant symbolic expressions in Kim Jong-jik’s articles, while poetry titles [詩題], verses[詩句], poetic dictions[詩語] are mainly used in the former writer’s works. AIthough the author’s systematic countermeasure to ideal society could not be found, but the traces of the author’s efforts into the religion and politics[政敎], institutions[制度], the domestic administration[內治] and the literature, which were necessary for its establishment are evident in his work.
