국문 초록

연구목적: 자존감과 우울 증상 간의 교차지연 효과는 비장애인을 대상으로 한 종단연구에서 유의하다고 알려져 있다. 지체장애인 대상으로 한 일부 연구도 자존감과 우울 증상 간의 교차지연 효과가 유의하다는 것을 보여주었다. 이에 본 연구는 자존감과 우울 증상 간의 교차지연 효과가 두 집단 간에 동일한지를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법: 본 연구는 한국복지패널(Korean Welfare Panel Survey: KWPS)의 14차, 15차년도 자료를 사용하였다. 그리고 자존감과 우울 증상 간의 교차지연 효과를 자기회귀 교차지연 모델로 알아보았다. 또한 다집단 분석으로 비장애인과 지체장애인 집단 간에 자존감과 우울 증상 간의 교차지연 효과에 차이가 있는지 알아보았다. 연구결과: 본 연구의 결과는 두 집단에서 자존감과 우울 증상이 서로를 부적으로 예측한다는 것을 보여주었다. 결론: 본 연구의 결과는 두 집단 모두에서 인지적 취약성 모델과 우울 증상의 자존감에 대한 효과 가설을 지지한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: Cross-lagged effects between self-esteem and symptoms of depression have been significant in longitudinal studies in people without physical disabilities. However, some studies of people with physical disabilities showed significant cross-lagged effects between self-esteem and depression symptoms. Thus, this study examined and compared the cross-lagged effects between self-esteem and symptoms of depression across groups. Method: This study used the datasets from the 14th to 15th wave in the Korean Welfare Panel Survey(KWPS). This study examined cross-lagged effects between self-esteem and depression symptoms using Autoregressive Cross-Lagged (ARCL) Modeling. This study also examined the equalities of cross-lagged effects between self-esteem and depression symptoms using a multi-group analysis. Results: Results showed that self-esteem and depression symptoms negatively predicted each other in both groups. Conclusion: Results supported both the cognitive vulnerability model and the effects hypothesis of depression symptoms on self-esteem in both groups.
