국문 초록

본 연구는 수선(修繕)과 관련된 유물 및 사료 등 문헌의 분석을 통하여 중국의 도자수선의 변천과 차문화의 영향을 되짚어 보려고 한다. 수선된 도자기 그리고 도자기의 수선에 대해서는 여러 역사적 기록과 유물이 현존하고 있다. 도자기가 생겨난 이래로 도자기 수선기술은 제작기술과 궤를 같이하며 시차를 멀리하지 않고 함께등장하고 발전해왔다. 중국은 다양한 도자기를 개발해내며 도자문화를 이끌어 왔다. 도자기의 수선기술 또한 중국에 의해 선도되며 발전해 왔다. 도자의 수선은 본래 생산기술의 부수적 기술로 기능성의 회복이라는 단순 수리작업에서 출발했지만, 도자 사용자의 요구에 적응해나가면서 점차 독자의 전문기술로 발전할 수 있었다. 도자수선은 접합(接合), 결합(結合) 그리고 재번조(再燔造)의 기법이 존재한다. 시대와 지역에 따라 기법은 다양하게발전을 해왔으며, 사용자의 선호와 문화적 배경에 따라 특정의 기법이 특화되기도 했다. 수선을 통해 추구되는가치가 실용성에서 점차 예술성으로 변화하면서 수선기법이 일반기술과 고급기술로 분화되어 발전하기도 하였다. 이러한 변화를 주도했던 것은 도자문화의 상위 향유자라고 할 수 있는 당시의 문인 사대부와 같은 사회상류층의 인물들로 이들은 모두 차문화를 즐긴 차인들이었다. 이들에 의해 민간영역과 구분되는 전문적이고 예술성을 중시하는 수선의 상위영역이 형성될 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to examine the influence of tea culture on advances in porcelain restoration in China by analyzing literature on historical relics and materials related to ceramic repair. Ceramic repair technology has been developed since the creation of ceramics, in line with manufacturing technology. China has led the ceramic culture and developed various ceramics, and the technology used to restore ceramics has also been led and developed by China. Ceramic restoration originally started with simple repair work as an offshoot of production methodologyies, but gradually developed into a stand-alone topic that was adapted to meet the needs of ceramic users. The restoration of ceramics involves techniques like bonding, combining, and refiring. Techniques were developed at different times and in various regions, and specific specialized techniques were devised according to users preferences and cultural backgrounds. As reasons for repairs gradually moved from practicality to artistry, repair techniques were classified as general or advanced. People of the upper class, such as the aristocrats, who were the literary men of their times, were the primary advocates of ceramic culture, and this appreciation was closely associated with tea culture. As a result, high-level repair techniques were developed that emphasized professional and artistic characteristics that that were quite distinguishable from other repairs were developed.
