국문 초록

목적: 장애인들은 일반인에 비해서 관광에 대한 취약성이 나타나고 있으며, 관광을 위한 제도적, 물적 지원이 많이 없는 상황에서 지속가능한 관광 활성화를 위해 관광 제약요인과 선택요인에 대해서 분석하고 현실가능한 대안을 제시하고자 한다. 방법: 연구방법은 본 연구에서 실증연구에 필요한 표본은 광주, 전남, 전북 소재의 지체장애인을 표집단위로 하여 표본조사를 실시하였다. 결과: 본 연구는 장애인의 관광 제약요인과 선택요인을 분석하여 장애인들이 관광지를 선택함에 있어서 합리적인 대안을 제시하고자 연구를 수행하였다. 장애인들은 일반인과 다르게 신체적, 정신적 등 많은 어려움을 가지고 있기 때문에 다양한 측면에서 지원이 필요한 실정이다. 장애인 관광의 측면에서 장애인들이 많이 참여할 수 있도록 쉽고 재미있는 프로그램 등을 개발할 필요가 있다. 또한 안내판리플렛 등을 쉽게 제작하여 장애인들이 편리하게 이용할 수 있게 마련해야 한다. 관광에 대한 제약요인들 중 관광에 대한 관심도를 높일 수 있도록 장애인들에 특화된 관광 프로그램들이 필요하며, 장애인의 경제적인 특성상 매우 낮은 경제력이 있는 것을 감안해서 장애인에 대한 배려가 필요하다. 본 연구를 통해서 장애인들이 지속적으로 관광을 수행하기 위해서는 장애인들이 꾸준히 밖으로 나가 자신들도 소비의 주체라는 점을 인식시켜야 한다. 결론: 본 연구는 장애인 관광에 대한 정책적 함의 및 실무적 시사점을 제시하고 있지만, 광주, 전남, 전북지역의 장애인으로만 한정해서 집단별 대표성이 부족한 점과 설문조사시 활동보조인 등의 도움으로 인한 설문의도가 혼합되었을 가능성으로 인해 한계가 있다.

영문 초록

Purpose: People with disabilities are more vulnerable to tourism than the general public, and in a situation where there is not much institutional and material support for tourism, we would like to analyze tourism constraints and suggest realistic alternatives to revitalize tourism. Methods: As for the research method, a sample survey was conducted in this study with the physically disabled in Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk as a representative group. Results: This study was conducted to analyze the tourism constraints and optional factors of the disabled and to suggest reasonable alternatives in selecting tourist destinations for the disabled. Unlike the general public, disabled people have many difficulties such as physical and mental, so support is needed in various aspects. In terms of tourism for the disabled, it is necessary to develop easy and fun programs so that many people with disabilities can participate. In addition, information boards and leaflets should be easily written so that the disabled can use them conveniently. Among the constraints on tourism, tourism programs specialized for the disabled are needed to increase interest in tourism, and consideration for the disabled is needed considering that they have very low economic power due to their economic characteristics. Through this study, in order for the disabled to continuously carry out tourism, it is necessary to steadily go outside and recognize that they are also the subjects of consumption. Conclusion: This study presents policy implications and practical implications for tourism for the disabled, but there are limitations due to the lack of representation by group and the possibility that the survey was mixed with help from activity assistants.
