기본교육과정 국어과 핵심역량의 타당성 고찰

국문 초록

본 연구는 2015 기본교육과정 국어과 핵심역량이 설정된 상황에서 향후 교육과정 개발과정에서 고려해야 할 핵심역량의 방향성과 교수 방향을 탐색하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 2015 개정특수교육 기본 교육과정 국어과는 중등도 및 중도 지적장애 학생의 발달 단계 및 능력을 고려하여 지역 사회 생활이나 사회 통합에 필요한 핵심역량을 의사소통 역량, 자기 관리 역량, 대인 관계 역량, 창의적 사고 역량, 지식 정보 처리 역량, 심미적 감성 역량으로 규정하였다. 이러한 국어과의 핵심역량은 국어과의 학년군·영역·내용 성취기준 보다 상위적 수준의 기제로서, 각각의 핵심역량은 서로 독립적으로 존재하는 것이 아니라 상호 유기적 교류 속에서 서로를 발달시키는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 그동안 장애학생의 국어교육에 있어서 필요한 핵심 역량에 대한 암묵적 합의만 이루어졌을 뿐, 국어과 핵심 역량의 선정 과정에서 국어 교과 뿐 아니라, 모든 교과에서 핵심역량 선정 근거와 논리적 정합성, 각 핵심 역량의 개념 및 정의가 부족하여 각 핵심 역량 도달을 통해 할 수 있기를 기대하는 바도 다를 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 일반교육과정 국어과 핵심역량과 비교 및 기본교육과정 내 교과 간 연계성을 살펴보고, 핵심역량의 적용 방안을 탐색하였다. 향후 발달장애학생의 언어 수행 과정에서 국어과 핵심역량이 길러지고 관련된 세부 역량들까지 고려할 수 있도록 교육계 안·밖의 충분한 논의와 협의가 이루어져야 할 것으로 보인다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the validity of core competencies in Korean language education for students with developmental disabilities. The revised Special Education Basic Education Curriculum in 2015 is designed to improve the core competencies necessary for community life and social integration in terms of communication capacity, self - management capacity, interpersonal capacity, creative thinking capacity, Knowledge information processing capability, and aesthetic sensitivity. The concrete application method of core competency is as follows. First, it should focus on core competence rather than focus on each content area of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Second, Diversification. Third, the learner s self - directed learning method, problem solving method, and expressive method should be emphasized. Finally, the assessment should ensure that long-term, cumulative, and holistic alternative assessments can be made within the context of the individual student. In the future, sufficient discussion and consultation within and outside of the education system should be made so that the language skills of the students with developmental disabilities can be developed and their competencies related to Korean language are raised.
