자유학기제 연구학교의 교육과정 편성․운영에 관한 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 2013학년도부터 자유학기제를 시범 운영해 온 연구학교를 대상으로 교육과정의 편성과 운영에 대해 분석한 사례연구이다. 교육부에서는 자유학기제 운영에 관한 우수 사례나 매뉴얼을 보급하고 있지만 단위학교에서 실질적으로 필요로 하는 것은 가시적인 결과물이 아니라 그러한 결과가 도출되기까지의 직접적인 과정이다. 따라서 자유학기제의 교육과정 편성 및 운영에 있어서 교사 간 협력․협의과정에 중점을 두고 그 준비과정과 실태를 종합적으로 분석하였다. 연구는 자유학기제 담당부장교사와의 면담내용(반구조화 면담), 각종 문서자료(연구학교 운영 계획서 및 보고서, 홍보자료, 연수자료, 교수․학습지도안, 평가지, 학생․학부모 대상 설문지, 학생활동결과물 등)의 분석을 통해 진행되었다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 자유학기제의 운영 연구팀의 구성은 학교 전체교사로 하였다. 둘째, 자유학기제 운영 모형은 학생, 학부모, 교사, 지역사회 등 학교와 학교 주변의 모든 여건을 고려하여 선정하였다. 셋째, 중점 모형 분류기준의 이원화로 인하여 중점 모형별 자율과정 프로그램의 종류가 대동소이(大同小異)하였다. 넷째, 기본교과의 시수 재구성에서 중점 고려사항은 학력 저하 문제, 교과교사의 인식이었다. 다섯째, 시간표 편성 시 기본교과는 오전 시간대 중심으로 배치하고 자율과정 프로그램은 오후 시간대 중심으로 배치하였다. 여섯째, 기본교과의 내용은 핵심 성취기준을 중심으로 재구성되어 학생 참여와 활동 중심의 다양한 교수․학습방법이 개발되었다. 일곱째, 학생평가에 있어서 결과 위주의 평가를 지양하고 과정 중심의 평가방법을 자체 개발하여 적용하였다. 이처럼 본 연구는 자유학기제의 운영에 있어서 그 과정적 측면을 부각하여 단위학교에서 실질적․세부적으로 발생하는 문제 상황과 해결 방안에 대해 심도 있게 고찰하였다.

영문 초록

This study is a case study on curriculum organization and management for research schools that have been operating the free learning Semester since the 2013 school year. In particular, I focused on the process of cooperation and consultation among teachers in the organization and management of free learning semester curriculum. We analyzed the preparation process and actual condition. The research was conducted by analyzing the interview (semi-structured interview) of the teacher in charge of free learning semester and document data (research school operation plan and report, publicity data, training data, teaching and learning guidance plan, evaluation paper, questionnaire for students and parents, Student Activities). The results of this study were as follows: First, The constitution of the operation team of the free learning semester was made as the whole school teacher. Second, the operational model of free learning semester was selected considering all the circumstances such as students, parents, teachers, and local community. Third, due to the dualization of the key model classification criteria, the types of autonomous process programs by key model were similar. Fourth, the major consideration in restructuring the basic subjects was the problem of lowered academic ability and the recognition of the subject teachers. Fifth, when the schedule is organized, the basic curriculum is arranged around the morning time and the autonomous program is arranged around the afternoon time. Sixth, the content of basic curriculum was reconstructed centering on core achievement standards, and various teaching and learning methods based on student participation and activities were developed. Seventh, we did not evaluate results – based evaluation in the student s evaluation and developed a process – based evaluation method. As a result, this study emphasizes the process of the free learning semester management, and examined realistically and in detail the problematic situations and solutions in the unit school
