국문 초록

다시(茶時)는 국가 중대사를 처리하는 업무의 일환으로 음다(飮茶)를 정례화, 의례화했으며 이는 차의 약리적, 정서적 효능을 실용화한 지혜의 표본이라고 할 수 있다. 또한 다례의 뜻을 일상의 공적 의례로 형식화한 것으로, 이 제도는 차 문화가 발달했던 중국이나 일본에서도 그 사례를 찾기 어렵다. 그러나 ‘다시가 무엇이며, 언제부터 시작되었는지’에 대한 규명부터 편차가 있어 다시의 연원, 정의, 공간, 조직과 기능 등 세부적인 영역에 대해 상충된 견해들이 노출되었다. 본 논문은 중의적 형태로 사용되는 다시의 용례를 분석, 다시의 연원을 대관제도의 연원과 사헌부 설다(設茶)의 연원으로 나누어 살펴보는 방식을 택하였다. 그 결과 본 논문은 제도로서의 다시가 고려 시대로부터 시작되었으며, 고려의 중형주대의와 다례의에서 그 용례를 살펴볼 수 있었으며, 공사로서의 다시는 아시감찰에서 그 전거를 찾았고, ‘제도감각색관상회의’에서 대례의 전거를 확인하였다. 그러나 문헌상으로 고증해 볼 수 있는 제도로서의 다시는 사헌부, 사간원 모두 조선 태종 때부터 기록을 찾을 수 있다.

영문 초록

As part of dealing with the critical events of the nation, ‘Dasi’ was regularized and ritualized as a model of wisdom that practicalized the pharmacological and emotional effects of tea. It is a formalization of the meaning of the tea ceremony as a daily public ritual, and it is difficult to find in China or Japan, where the tea culture developed. However, there is a deviation in the understanding of what ‘Dasi’ is and when it started. Consequently, conflicting views have appeared on detailed areas such as the origin, definition, space, organization, and function. This paper chose a method of analyzing the use of ‘Dasi’, which is used in a dual form and dividing the origin of ‘Dasi’ into Daekwan, the system of censors and remonstrators, and Seolda, the tea party for Ministry of the Constitution. As a result, this paper identified the following grounds: during the Goryeo Dynasty ‘Dasi’ began as an institution. Some examples were found in the rituals before heavy sentence(Junghyeongjudaeui) and the tea ceremonies of Goryeo. ‘Dasi’ as affairs of state can be found in the biannual inspection(Asigamchal). The ritual of Daerye was confirmed at the plenum of all the members of ministries and branches(Jedogamgakseakgwansanghoeui). However, ‘Dasi’ as a documented system in the literature was from King Taejong of the Joseon Dynasty in both the ministry of the Constitution(Saheonbu) and the office of the Censor-General(Saganwon).
