장례복원메이크업에 관한 고찰

국문 초록

본 연구는 장례복원메이크업에 관한 고찰연구이다. 2000년대 초반만 해도 국내에는 장례복원메이크업이라는 단어가 존재하지 않았다. 장례메이크업과 가장 비슷한 행위가 입관 전 장례지도사들이 고인에게 스킨이나 파우더 정도를 발라주는 정도였다. 최근에는 장례문화의 변화와 성장으로 말미암아 장례복원메이크업이 그렇게 생소하거나 낯선 문화가 아니다. 고인에게 수의를 입히는 것만이 과거의 보편적인 장례문화였다면 지금은 고인이 생전에 좋아했던 옷을 입히는 경우도 많아졌다. 또한 수의로 얼굴을 덮던 것에 그쳤던 문화가 장례복원메이크업의 등장으로 새로운 미용전문분야로 급부상하고 있다. 고인이 사고로 사망한 경우는 유족들이 장례복원메이크업을 원하는 경우가 많아졌으며 2017년 정식 한국표준직업분류에 장례복원메이크업전문가가 포함되어 또 하나의 직업군으로 더욱 주목을 받게 되었다. 일반메이크업과 장례복원메이크업은 분명히 차이가 있다. 살아 있는 사람과 고인이 된 사람에게 메이크업을 한다는 건 상황이 많이 다르기 때문이며 시신이 훼손된 경우 복원하는 기술도 매우 전문적이라 할 수 있다. 문제는 기술을 배울 수 있는 대학이 있으나 많이 한정되어 있어 체계적으로 높은 완성도의 시술과 교육을 받은 전문가를 찾는 실정이다. 이러한 사실을 근거로 장례복원메이크업에 대한 관심과 보다 많은 연구의 필요성이 제기 된다. 전문가 배출과정에 관한 관련 교육에 대한 명확한 전문성이 필요하다. 본 연구는 장례복원메이크업에 관한 선행연구의 고찰을 통해 존귀하고 아름다운 장례문화를 지향하고 고인을 존중하는 분위기를 만들며 장례복원메이크업의 중요성에 대해 살펴보고 나아가서는 새로운 미용분야의 일자리 창출이란 점에서도 큰 도움이 되고자 함이다.

영문 초록

One of the things that cannot be overlooked in an aging society is preparation for death. Death is recognized as a common problem rather than an individual problem that everyone must face at least once, not in isolation or to accurately distinguish between life and death. In the early 2000s, there was no such word as funeral restoration makeup in Korea. However, the most similar act to funeral makeup was to the extent that the funeral directors applied skin or powder to the deceased before entering the building. Now, funeral culture is gradually changing, and funeral restoration makeup is not a new culture. If it was a common culture in the past to dress the deceased in a shroud, now it is often seen that the deceased wears the clothes he liked while he was still alive. Similarly, the number of people looking for funeral beauty restoration makeup from covering their faces with a shroud is gradually increasing. If the deceased has died in an accident, the rate of seeking funeral beauty restoration makeup is even higher. Funeral beauty restoration makeup specialist was included in the official Korean standard occupational classification in 2017 and can be called an official occupation. There is a clear difference between normal makeup and funeral makeup. Because cremation for a living person and a deceased person are very different. And if the body is damaged, it is necessary to have the technology to restore it. The problem is that there are still universities where technology can be learned, but they are very limited. Based on this fact, interest in funeral restoration makeup and the need for more research are raised. Clear expertise in operator training and discharge process through job analysis is required. This study aims at a beautiful funeral culture, creates an atmosphere that respects the dignity of the deceased, examines the importance of funeral restoration makeup, and furthermore, in terms of creating new jobs in the beauty industry, It s meant to be helpful.
