국문 초록

요즈음 4차 산업혁명이란 용어는 많은 곳에서 회자되고 있고 그로 인한 변화는 사회생활 전반에 영향을 끼치고 있으며 신학교육에도 많은 도전을 주고 있다. 반면 이처럼 빠르게 변하는 세태 속에서 기독교는 그 신뢰도를 잃어버리고 있다. 기독교에 대한 지탄으로 인한 교회의 위기는 목회자의 위기와 깊은 관련이 있고, 이는 다시 그들을 양성하는 신학교의 교육과 연결되어 있다. 1901년 선교사에 의해 한국에서 처음으로 공식적인 신학교육이 실시된 이후로 많은 교역자가 배출되어 교회를 섬겨왔다. 그러나 최근 신학대학원 교육이 목회 현장에서 별로 도움이 되지 않는다는 말을 종종 듣게 된다. 과연 그렇다면 신학대학원 교과과정은 목회자 양성이라는 목적을 위해 잘 실행되고 있는가? 그 동안 신학교육에 관한 많은 연구들이 있었지만 주로 학자들에 의한 이론적 고찰이 대부분이다. 교육의 대상자인 학생들 입장에서 성찰한 신학교육에 관한 연구는 거의 없는 실정이다. 이러한 배경에서 연구자는 신학대학원생의 학습을 입체적으로 이해하고 그들의 교과과정 경험에 관한 이야기에 귀 기울이며 그 경험이 갖는 의미와 맥락을 탐구하는 연구가 필요하다고 보았다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 첫째, 신학대학원생들이 지각하고 경험한 교과과정에 대한 그들의 이야기를 듣고 분석하며, 둘째, 그 자료 분석에 기초하여 신학대학원 교과과정 개선을 위한 함의를 도출하여 제안한다.

영문 초록

Nowadays, many people talk about the fourth industrial revolution, and its influence is pervasive in Korean society. Also it challenges the field of theological education. In the midst of this rapid change, Korean church is losing its reliability. Crisis of the church is deeply related with the crisis of the ministers, which is also connected to theological education at the seminaries or divinity schools. A lot of ministers served the Korean church since the first formal theological education in Korea has begun by the missionary in 1901. However, recently there have opinions risen saying theological education is not much helpful for the ministry. If so, has the seminary curriculum for training of the future ministers been well structured and performed? Although there have been many researches on theological education so far, there are few researches done from the students perspective. Therefore, the author acknowledges the necessity of the research which listens to the stories of students experience with the curriculum and explores its meaning. For this purpose, this article first brings students voice and analyzes their stories with the qualitative research method. Second, by examining the result of the data, the author suggests the implications for the improvement of the Master of Divinity(M. Div.) degree curriculum.
