기독교학교에서의 대학입시에 대한 인식

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 기독교 대안학교에서의 대학입시에 대한 인식이 미션스쿨과 어떤 차이가 있는지 연구하는데 그 목적이 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 우리나라의 특수한 현상인 대학입시 과열경쟁에 대해 기독교학교 교장들의 대학입시에 대한 인식을 알아보고 이것을 대안학교와 미션스쿨로 분류하여 대학입시 이해의 차이, 교육목적의 차이, 학생진로교육 가치기준의 차이, 자율학습 및 보충수업 실시여부, 신앙생활의 중요성 차이를 비교 분석해 보았다. 본 연구의 결과는 미션스쿨 학교운영자들과 비교해서 대안학교 학교운영자들은 더 높은 수준의 기독교적 입시관을 보였는데, 하나님의 부르심(소명)의 관점이 가장 높게 나타났고, 은사(재능)의 관점, 하나님 나라를 세우는 관점, 그리고 전문성(탁월성)의 관점 순으로 나타났다. 미션스쿨의 교육목적이 행복한 생활, 덕 있는 사람 양성, 나라발전의 인재양성에 초점이 맞추어져 있다면 기독교 대안학교는 진정한 신앙인을 키우는 것과 기독교 전문인을 양성하는데 그 교육의 목적을 두고 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 일반학교의 교과과정을 따르고 있는 미션스쿨은 학생들의 진로교육 가치기준이 기독교 대안학교와는 다른 것으로 조사되었다. 이는 학생진로교육 가치관이 대안학교의 교육목적과 상관관계가 있는 것으로 또한 조사되었다. 미션스쿨과 비교해서 대안학교에서는 교육의 목적이 높아지면 학생진로교육의 가치기준도 더 높아지는 경향이 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 미션스쿨은 대안학교에 비교해서 더 높은 수준의 자율학습 및 보충수업을 실시하였다. 대안학교의 경우, ‘자율학습 및 보충수업’은 거의 실시하지 않거나 선택적으로 실시하는 것으로 나타났다. 미션스쿨과 비교해서 대안학교는 더 높은 수준의 인성교육, 종교(성경지식)수업, 채플(예배), 성경공부, 개인(아침)경건의 시간을 실시하는 것으로 나타났다. 개인(아침)경건의 시간의 실시여부는 대안학교가 미션스쿨보다 더 심도 깊게 강조하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구 결과에 의하면, 신앙생활의 중요성은 교육의 목적과 학생진로교육의 가치기준과 상관관계가 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 이 연구의 중요성은 대안학교와 미션스쿨 학교운영자의 입시에 대한 인식의 차이점을 분석하고 어떤 요인들이 영향을 미치는지를 분석함으로써 대안학교와 미션스쿨의 기독교적 입시관의 방향을 제시한다는데 그 중요성이 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences in the perception of college entrance exam between alternative schools and mission schools. This research examines high school principals’ understanding of highly competitive college entrance exam in Korea. Moreover, it displays a comparative analysis between alternative schools and mission schools with regards to the following five categories: 1) the understanding of college entrance exam, 2) the educational purpose, 3) the value standard of students’ academic and career counseling, 4) self-learning and supplementary lessons at schools, and 5) the importance of faithful life. The results of this study show that there exist differences in all the above mentioned categories between alternative schools and mission schools. Compared to mission schools, alternative schools have higher Christian perspectives on college entrance exam: the perspective of God’s calling, the perspective of God’s talents, the perspective on building God’s Kingdom, and the perspective on excellency in the order. This research found that while mission schools focused on happiness in life, raising virtuous humans, and cultivating men of talents for the nation; alternative schools concentrated on bringing up students as truly faithful Christians and professional Christians. Alternative schools showed that higher the mean of educational purpose is, higher the mean of value standard of students’ academic and career counseling becomes. Alternative schools rarely or selectively enforced extra self-learning time and supplementary lessons at school. Compared to mission schools, alternative schools practiced higher levels of character education, religious (Biblical knowledge) education, chapel (worship) service, Bible study, and Q.T.(quiet time). Specifically, for Q.T, the research results showed that alternative schools encouraged students to exercise Q.T more than mission schools. According to the results, the importance of faithful life was closely related to the educational purpose and the value standard of students’ academic and career counseling. The importance of the study is to analyze differences in high school principals’ perception of college entrance exam between alternative and mission schools and to suggest what factors influence to Christian understandings of college entrance exam for the future study.
