부산지역 근대 항만도시형성에 따른 항만활동의 변화

국문 초록

일반적으로 항만은 육상과 해상공간이 만나는 장소로서 선박의 출입, 선박안전, 선박의 정박 그리고 물류의 흐름에 따라 부두 및 저장시설이 갖추어진 곳을 의미한다. 그리고 항만도시는 일반적으로 해안에 위치한 도시로 도시 내 항만기능에 크게 의존하고 있는 교역 중심의 도시를 의미한다. 특히 항만도시는 도시내부 간의 공간구축과 도시 간 연결, 상업 및 산업 , 그리고 물류적 관점 등 종합적인 도시의 변화에 중심이되는 지역이기도 하다. 특히 국외항로가 시작되면서 도시간의 연결성을 확보하는 것이 무엇보다 중요한 시기인 근대기에는 더욱이 항만도시의 구축은 도시의 기능의 재구축이 이루어지는 장소이기도 하다. 우리나라 또한 항만도시로 변모되는 시점인 근대기를 중심으로 항만구축과 항만도시의 변화가 구축된다. 특히 부산은 항만도시로서 기능을 수행하기위해 항만의 변화를 우선적으로 시행한 도시이기도 한다. 우선 부산은 항만시설을 확충하기 위해 항만매축을 중심에 두고 있다. 이를 통해 배후부지의 확보하고 항만도시로 탈바꿈하게 된다. 이러한 기반시설에 따라 산업 활동에도 변화하게 된다. 특히 수산업, 제조업, 경중공업 등에서 배후 항만도시의 구역별 특징을 확인 할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 다음과 같은 결과를 확인할 수 있었다. 우선 수산업의 경우 기존의 어업활동에서 벗어나 제빙, 제염산업을 기반으로 수산가공업으로 변화하게 되며 지역적 항만과의 연계성을 확보하게 된다. 또한 지역적 거점으로 남빈 매축지역에 집약화를 이루게 된다. 그리고 신흥 공업지역의 출연은 매축지와 기능에 따라 분류되어 나타나게 된다. 특히 주요 수출품인 면직과 관련된 방직업은 부산진 매축, 금속, 제염, 요업 등은 영도지역을 중심으로 신흥 산업지역으로 성장하게 된다. 특히 영도지역은 1930년대 전후로 제조 및 중공업지역의 중심지로 부상하였으며 초기에는 해안선중심으로 조성된 산업지역이 배후지역까지 확장되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

In general, a port is a place where land and sea space meet. In addition, the port is equipped with docks and storage facilities for entering and leaving ships and anchoring ships.. A port city is a city located on the coast, and it means a city centered on trade that is heavily dependent on the port function within the city. In particular, the change of each city as a port city changes the construction of new spaces within the city, the connection between cities, changes in commerce and industry, and even logistics. In addition, as the overseas routes start and the connections between foreign cities expand, the spatial structure of port cities also changes due to trade. The modern period, the time of transformation into a port city in Korea, is an important period for port construction and change of port city. In particular, Busan is one of the major cities where the functions of the city change according to the change of the modern port. The Busan area reclaimed the port to secure port facilities, and through this, the hinterland was secured and it was transformed into a port city, which also changed industrial activities. This study intends to examine the trends of port reclamation areas and industrial activities. In major industries, fisheries, manufacturing, light industry, heavy industry, etc. are studied to find the relationship between them. Through this, the following results were confirmed. First, the fishery industry will be transformed into a fishery processing industry based on the ice making and salt industries, away from the existing fishing activities centered on the southern port area. In addition, as a new site is created in the port reclamation, an emerging industrial area will be created. This area was classified according to the main products of the industrial area. For example, the textile industry related to cotton, a major export product, was located in the Busanjin reclamation area. In addition, metal, salt making, and ceramics were the central industries in Yeongdo. In particular, the Yeongdo area expanded to a manufacturing and heavy industry area and emerged as a new industrial area among Busan s ports. The time period was around the 1930s. As a result of checking the map, it was confirmed that it was initially built around the coastline, but later extended to the hinterland of the port.
