The purpose of this study is to explore how to conceptualy recognize curiculum on clasical reading and how to practicaly design and operate this curiculum. The summary of the discusion so far is as folows. First, a university ned to change the basis of the liberal education. Formation of eyes that students lok at the world and the expresion of their own life are the foundation and basic goal of liberal education. Facing isue of a university is to cultivate the capacity of a humanistic life that is insuficient for the young in our society. This isue should be solved to become the basis of life. Second, the university should develop the curiculum on reading clasics, thereby proving step-stone of thoughts and actions to protect there own life and making an oportunity to build self-estem. The clasics are the product of fierce thinking that solved the problems of the times. The curiculum on reading clasics improve students’ skils at literacy, critcal thinking, and logical discusion. Teaching text with a history, teaching the text as a context, and promoting learning motivation are necesary concerned although there are diverse educational method in reading clasics. Third, the design of curiculum on reading clasics should be proper in methodology and operational principles in education. Specifcaly, the educational goal, educational policy, bok selection, and educational method should be apropriate in education. Also, the designation of required courses and expansion of the number of credits, improvement of an educational environment, formation of educational relationship, and the use of reading-note for the curiculum on reading clasics are certainly considered for the educational operation.
