原三國∼三國時代금강유역의 주거와 취사시설의 변화로 본 정치적 동향

국문 초록

금강유역은 마한의 高地로서 이 지역의 3～5세기대 고고학 자료는 마한의 성장과 백제의 영역화에 따른 마한의 소멸과정을 보여준다. 그에 상응하여 이 글에서는 부뚜막과 쪽구들을 포함한 주거문화가 당시의 정치적 변화와 어떠한 관계에 있는지 고찰하였다. 먼저 부뚜막과 쪽구들을 형식분류함에 있어 주거지의 평면형태가 관련성이 있을 것으로 생각되어 두 시설이 확인된 주거지를 검토한 결과 주거지는 평면형태에 따라 원형주거지, 방형주거지, 오각형 · 육각형주거지가 확인되며, 방형주거지는 기둥배치에 따라 4주식주거지, 2주식주거지, 비4주식주거지로 분류할 수 있다. 그리고 부뚜막과 쪽구들은 각각 3개의 형식으로 분류할 수 있으며 각 형식은 확인된 유적의 출토유물의 상대적인 비중, 주거지의 중복관계 및 축조재료와의 상관관계에 따라 부뚜막은 Ⅰ→Ⅱ→Ⅲ식, 쪽구들은 가→나→다식으로 변화되고 축조재료와 함께 유형을 설정할 수 있었다. 그 다음으로 부뚜막 및 쪽구들의 유형과 주거지 평면형태의 변화를 기준으로 5단계로 구분하여 각 단계의 변화를 살펴보았는데, 한성백제지역에서 주로 확인되는 주거형태가 금강하류와 내륙지역 그리고 아산만 일대에 나타났음에도 불구하고 한성백제의 주거문화에 의한 변화는 크게 보이지 않았다. 그리고 금강유역을 수계에 따라 5개 지역으로 나누어 각 지역의 주거양상을 관찰하였는데, 각 지역별로 선호하던 주거문화가 존재하였고 그것은 자연지리적인 요인이 크게 작용한 결과였다. 아울러 백제주거지가 출현한 지역은 재지적 주거문화와 백제의 주거문화가 결합되는 양상이 관찰됨에도 불구하고 부뚜막·쪽구들·주거지 평면형태의 변화는 간취되지 않았다. 이러한 면은 이 지역의 4세기 중반을 기점으로 무덤·토기·철기 등의 고고학 자료가 변화되는 양상과 다르다고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

Geum River Basin was the upland of Mahan where the archeological materials of the third to fifth century showed the establishment and demise of the tribal government by the conquer of Pakje(百濟). The archeological data on dwelling sites have been accumulated, which made it possible to research the various dwelling cultures of the period according to the political changes. In a similar vein, this paper aims at researching the relationship between the political changes and the dwelling cultures including Furnaces and Korean underfloor heating systems. The results of the research can be summarized as follows. Through classification of types of Furnaces and Korean underfloor heating systems, we can guess there would be some relationship between types of Furnaces and Korean underfloor heating systems and the plane shapes. So the paper examined throughly the verified forms of the two facilities. Dwelling sites can be classified as round shaped house, four-pillars type dwelling sites, two-pillars type dwelling sites, none two-pillars type dwelling sites, pentagonal shaped houses and hexagonal shaped houses. Furnaces and Korean underfloor heating systems would be classified into three types respectively; Furnaces were classified as TypeⅠ→ TypeⅡ→ TypeⅢ , and Korean underfloor heating systems were classified as Type‘Ga’→ Type‘Na’→ Type‘Da’ according to the overlapping of dwelling sites and the correlations of constructional materials. The paper classified the two housing facilities as five stages based on the cultural assemblage of Furnaces and Korean underfloor heating systems and on the plane shapes of dwelling sites, and researched each stage. Finally, the observation of the aspects of each dwelling site after dividing Geum River Basin into five based on the water boundaries revealed that each area had its preferred dwelling cultures which were greatly affected by geological factors. In the places where the dwelling sites of Pakje were excavated, there was no changes in Furnaces and Korean underfloor heating systems and dwelling plane shapes even though both indigenous dwelling culture and Pakje‘s appeared at the same time. This aspect is different from that of other archeological materials in this area such as tombs, earthenwares, ironwares that experienced changes starting from the middle of the forth century.
