영문 초록

This paper aims to study the present status of match fixing from a sports ethics view point and proposes alternative educational measures. To this end, we investigated case studies and documentary research on match fixing throughout the sporting world and proposed the following educational solutions. First, only graduates from an educational training course meant for athletes, coaches, and club managers mandated and run once a month (or a week) will be qualified to participate in sports matches. Second, hiring professional counsellors for each sports team to counsel the athletes about their personal issues and difficulties should be mandatory. Third, all team members will meet regularly to debate on or confirm their determination after watching video resources dealing with illegal cases of match fixing. Fourth, solutions should be found easily and in advance for minor athletes by building a relationship between mentor and mentee. Fifth, the four solutions mentioned above should be evaluated and the team with excellent results will be given incentive programs such as budget support or priority in selecting athletes. Finally, student athletes will be required to maintain training logs and copy a great poem every day to develop a stable personality and good nature.
