국문 초록

본 연구는 역사 속 인물을 기반으로 무용 작품을 만들 때 시대적 변화에 따른 주제접근법과현대 인물로 연계되어 표현되는 안무 방법의 필요성에 의해 연구되었다. 연구의 목적은 역사를그대로 풀어내는 서술형 안무가 아닌 ‘모티브적 변형과 상징성’이 강조된 안무사례 탐색에 목적을둔다. 탐색하기 위한 모티브적 변형은, 동기를 중심으로 집합류 영역의 다양한 집합들이 동기에나타난 구조 혹은 동기와 인접한 집합과의 성부진행 관계를 중심으로 변형을 이루고 있으며다양한 집합들의 관계가 동기 구조와 관련하여 새로운 관점에서 해석될 수 있다고 언급한박인아(2012)의 개념에 부합된 극 무용 ‘권율의 여자들’을 연구 대상으로 선정하였으며, 연구자는연습 과정에 직접 참여, 공연 관람 과정 경험, 공연 영상탐색의 3단계 과정과 안무자 인터뷰, 출연자 인터뷰, 전문가 비평의 알고리즘을 통해 결과를 분석하였다. 새로운 해석으로 시작된역사 속 인물을 기반한 극 무용 안무는‘시, 공간적 크로스오버’와 ‘대조된 상황설정’, ‘병렬식 구조’가모티브적 변형과 상징성을 부각시키는데 중요한 요소임이 결과로 논의되었다.

영문 초록

This study is about the thematic approach according to changes of time, and the necessity of choreographic methods of representation in connection with modern figures wen creating a dance work based on historic figures. The objective of this study is to explore the choreographic method emphasizing the ‘motivic transformation’ and ‘symbolism’, rather than the narrative choreography that describes the history as it is. As the research subject, this study selected a theatrical dance suitable for the concept of 『Motivic Transformation』 as “Various groups in pitch-class space are transformed focusing on the structure shown in motive or the voice-leading relation with groups close to the motive, and the relations of various groups could be interpreted in new perspective in relation to motivic structure”(Park In-Ah, 2012). The researcher directly participated in the practice process, and also experienced the process of viewing the performance. Through the algorithm of 3-step process of exploring the performance video, interviews with choreographer and actor, and expert review, the researcher drew the result in which the ‘temporal/spatial crossover’, ‘contrasting situation setting’, and ‘parallel structure’ by new interpretation were the important elements for highlighting the motivic transformation and symbolism.
