소년범의 환경적 위험요인에 대한 탐색 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 소년범의 재범과 범죄성의 심화를 효과적으로 예측할 수 있는 환경적 위험요인을 밝히는데 있다. 이를 위해 경찰 다이버전에서 위험성 평가를 받은 소년범 486명의 자료를 활용하였다. 범죄학 이론과 선행연구를 바탕으로 6개의 환경적 위험요인(가정결손, 가정폭력, 애착문제, 학업중단, 학교부적응, 비행친구)을 재구성하여 통계분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 소년범의 재범은 가정폭력의 피해 경험을 제외한 5개의 위험요인과 유의미한 관련성이 있었고, 범죄성의 심화는 6개의 위험요인 모두와 유의미한 관련성이 있었다. 초범자와 재범자를 판별할 수 있는 환경적 위험요인은 학업중단, 학교부적응, 비행친구였고, 범죄성의 심화와 관련이 있는 환경적 위험요인은 학업중단과 학교부적응으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 소년범의 재범 및 범죄성의 심화와 관련하여 학업중단과 학교부적응이 많은 영향을 미치고 있다는 점을 시사한다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 소년범 처우에 대한 선도방향을 제시해 보고자 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to identify environmental risk factors that can effectively predict the effects of recidivism and the deepening of crimes. In order to do so, the data from 486 juvenile offenders who received risk assessments from the national police agency was used. Based on criminology theories and prior study, six environmental risk factors (home defect, home violence, attachment problems, academic break, school maladjusted, friends as juvenile delinquents) were conducted. As a result, the offender s recidivism was relevant to five risk factors except the home violence experience, and the deepening of the crime was relevant to all of the six risk factors. Environmental risk factors to distinguish against first-time offenders and the recidivistic offenders are the academic break, school maladjusted, existence of friends as juvenile delinquents. And environmental factors related on the deepening of crimes were verified as academic break, school maladjusted. These results suggest that there is a significant impact on academic break, school maladjusted in relation to the deepening of recidivism and crimes. There is an implication to suggest a direction for the treatment juvenile offenders based on the results of this study.
