수업 개선을 위해 문화역사적 활동이론을 활용한 연구에 대한 체계적 문헌고찰

국문 초록

교육현장은 수업 개선을 위한 노력을 지속해 왔다. 수업 개선 방안으로 수업컨설팅, 교사 학습공동체, 수업포트폴리오 등 다양한 방법들이 개발, 활용되고 있다. 국내외 교육 연구자들이 수업 개선을 위한 방안 중 하나로 문화역사적 활동이론의 활용을 제안하고 있다. 문화역사적 활동이론은 인간의 활동을 이해하고 분석하는 이론적 틀을 제시하는 이론으로 특히, 수업 활동을 이해하고 분석하는데 효과적이다. 국내 교육현장에서도 많은 교육연구자들이 문화역사적 활동이론을 활용하여 수업을 개선해왔다. 본 연구 목적은 수업 개선을 위해 문화역사적 활동이론을 활용한 기존 연구를 수집, 분석하여 수업 개선을 위한 문화역사적 활동이론의 활용방안을 탐색하는데 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 체계적 문헌고찰을 연구방법으로 선택하였다. 분석대상이 될 문헌은 PRISMA 가이드라인을 활용하여 선정하였다. 그 결과 총 33개의 문헌이 수집되었다. 연구진은 수집된 문헌에 대한 질적분석을 통해 수업 개선을 위한 문화역사적 활동이론의 활용방안으로 ① 교수학습전략 적용 과정에 대한 이해를 통한 개선점 도출, ② 수업 실행 과정에 발생하는 모순 파악을 통한 수업 개선점 도출, ③ 학생의 학습활동 참여과정 분석을 통한 학습활동 재설계, ④ 수업도구에 대한 이해와 활용방안 마련, ⑤ 체계적 수업분석 도구로써 활용 가능성 제안, ⑥ 사회문화적 맥락 안에서 교사역량 함양 방안 마련을 도출하였다. 연구결과는 수업을 개선하고자 하는 교사 또는 학교에게 수업 개선 목적에 따른 문화역사적 활동이론의 활용방안을 제시할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The field of education has continued to make efforts to improve classes. As a way to improve classes, various methods such as class consulting, teacher learning communities, and class portfolios are being developed and used. Educational researchers are proposing the use of cultural-historical activity theory (CHAT) as another way to improve classes. CHAT is a theory that provides a theoretical framework for understanding and analyzing human activities, and is especially effective in understanding and analyzing class activities. Many educational researchers in Korea have used CHAT for class improvement. The purpose of this study is to collect and analyze existing research using CHAT to improve classes and explore ways to use CHAT for class improvement. This study adapted systematic literature review as a research methodology. The literature to be analyzed was selected using PRISMA guidelines. As a result, a total of 33 studies were collected. The researchers identified six ways of improving classes by using CHAT: 1) identifying improvement points by understanding the process of implementing teaching-learning strategies, 2) improving classes by resolving the contradictions that arise in the teaching process, 3) redesigning learning activities through analysis of students learning experiences, 4) developing a strategy to use the class tools by understanding how to use class tools in the course context, 5) suggesting class analysis methods that can be used to understand and improve classes, 6) exploring ways to cultivate teacher competencies in a socio-cultural context. The results of the research suggest to teachers and schools that CHAT should be used to help them improve classes.
