학습자 중심의 온라인 토의 기반 수업에서 학습주체들의 상호작용에 대한 현상학적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 학습자 중심 교육을 온라인 토의 기반 수업에 적용하여 설계하고 운영한 교수자의 관점과 그 수업을 체험한 학습자의 관점, 그리고 이 상호작용 속에서 이들의 변화와 성장의 경험을 탐색해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위한 연구의 설계로 학습자들의 수업체험을 상호주관적 환원의 해석으로 탐구한 경험적 현상학적 체험연구와, 교수자의 체험을 자아론적 환원의 반성으로 탐구한 현상학적 셀프연구를 결합하였다. 자료수집과 분석에는 현상학적 환원, 태도변경과 판단중지, 해석학적 순환 등이 활용되었고, 연구결과로는 총 세 가지 범주, 여섯 가지의 주제모음과 열여섯 가지의 주제가 도출되었다. 본 연구는 학습자들의 부담스러움, 재미, 몰입감, 유능감, 친밀감 등의 감정을 포함한 수업 체험을 그들의 언어를 기반으로 생생하게 그려냈을 뿐 아니라, 그 과정에서 언어로 표현되지 않았던 교수자의 내적 긴장을 자아론적 환원의 반성을 통해 탐색하였다. 또한 이러한 학습주체들의 상호작용 속에서 교수자와 학습자들의 변화와 성장경험을 깊이 있게 표현하였다. 학습자 중심 교육 실천을 위한 현장연구인 본 연구의 시사점으로는 문화적 측면에 중점을 둔 접근, 교수자의 성찰의 중요성, 학습자의 깊은 변화(deep change)과정을 돕는 개인준비도(individual readiness)기반의 접근이 강조되었다.

영문 초록

This study aims to explore the perspective of an instructor who designed and operated the learner-centered education by applying it to an online discussion-based course, the perspectives of the learners who experienced the course, and the experiences of change and growth in their interactions. The design of the study for this was combined with an empirical phenomenological study that explored learners experience with the intersubjective reduction, and a phenomenological self-study that explored the instructor s experience with egological reduction. Hermeneutic circle, analyses of themes, changes of attitudes, and epoche were used for data collection and analysis. As a result of the study, three categories, six themes and sixteen sub-themes were identified. This study not only vividly depicts learners learning experiences, including emotions such as psychological burdens, fun, immersion, competence, and intimacy, based on their language, but also explored the inner tensions of the instructor with the reflection of egological reduction. In addition, the change and growth experience of the instructor and learners were deeply expressed in the interaction of these learning subjects. The implications of this study, a field study for the practice of learner-centered education, emphasized an approach that focuses on cultural aspects, the importance of the instructor s reflection, and individual readiness that helps the learner s deep change process.
