국문 초록

본 연구는 기업영재 청소년의 정서지능, 창의성, 자아존중감이 학교급 및 성별 집단에 따라 차이가 있는지 살펴보고, 정서지능이 창의성 및 자아존중감과 어떤 관계가 있는지를 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 D광역시에 위치한 K대학의 기업영재프로그램에 참여하고 있는 중·고등학생 205명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하고 그 자료를 분석하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기업영재 학생들의 학교급 및 성별 집단에서 정서지능과 자아존중감에 유의한 차이를 나타냈으나 창의성에는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 학교급 집단에서 유의한 차이를 나타낸 모든 요인에서 중학생 집단이 고등학생 집단보다 높았고, 성별 집단에서는 남학생 집단이 여학생 집단보다 높았다. 둘째, 기업영재 학생들의 정서지능은 창의성에 대해 유의한 예측을 하지 않았으나, 창의성과 관련 있는 성격 요인인 적극적인 상상에 대해서는 유의한 정적 예측을 보여주었다. 셋째, 정서지능은 자아존중감에 대해 유의한 정적 예측을 보여주었다. 본 연구결과를 종합해 보면, 기업영재 청소년의 창의성과 자아존중감을 형성하는 데에는 정서지능이 중요한 요인이며, 정서지능을 잘 길러 줄 수 있도록 프로그램을 개발하고 운영하는 것이 중요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study examined how entrepreneurial gifted youths’ emotional intelligence, creativity, and self-esteem differ by their school level and gender. It also explored how entrepreneurial gifted youths’ emotional intelligence related to their creativity and self-esteem. For these purposes, a survey was conducted to 205 middle and high school students participating in the entrepreneurial gifted program of K University in D city, and the data from the survey were analyzed. The main results are as follows. First, there was a significant difference in emotional intelligence and self-esteem in the school level and gender groups of entrepreneurial gifted students. However, there was no significant difference in creativity. In all the factors showing significant differences in the school level groups, the middle school students group was found to be higher than the high school students group, and gender groups, the boys group was higher than the girls group. Second, the emotional intelligence of entrepreneurial gifted students did not make a significant prediction about creativity. However, positive imagination, a personality factor related to creativity, showed significant static predictions. Third, emotional intelligence showed significant static predictions for self-esteem. In summarizing the results of this study, Emotional intelligence is an important factor in shaping the creativity and self-esteem of entrepreneurial gifted youth, suggesting that it is important to develop and operate programs that can cultivate emotional intelligence well.
