영문 초록

The purpose of the study was to identify the oral health behavior and periodontal disease of over 65 years diabetic patients in Korea. The data used for the analysis were obtained from 760 diabetic people in the 6th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey from 2013 to 2015. Data were analyzed by chi-square, and logistic regression analysis was also performed to assess the relationship between oral health behavior and periodontal disease. Using logistic regression analysis after adjustment of sex, smoking, we found a significant association between recognition of oral health status, brushing frequency and risk for periodontal diseases. The periodontal disease is related to oral health behavior. Therefore it is recommended for the prevention of periodontal diseases in over 65 years of diabetic patients.
