패션에 나타난 퓨전 디자인 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 크리스챤 디오르의 패션 디자이너 존 갈리아노의 컬렉션에 나타난 퓨전디자인에 관한 연구를 진행한 것이다. 존 갈리아노의 패션쇼의 흐름에 자주 나타났던 퓨전 디자인의 특성 중에서 큰 분류로 첫째, 패션에서의 퓨전 디자인 요소와 둘째, 헤어스타일·메이크업에서의 퓨전 디자인 요소로 나누었다. 본 연구의 범위는 존 갈리아노의 2000년 S/S 컬렉션부터 2009년 F/W까지로 한정하였으며, 그 안에는 오트쿠튀르와 레디투웨어, 프레타포르테 등이 포함되어 있으며, 그림에서의 표기는 다음과 같이 표기하였다. ‘2000년 크리스챤 디오르 봄, 여름’ 컬렉션의 경우, ‘Christian dior S/S 00’이라고 표기하였고, ‘2007년 오트쿠튀르 가을, 겨울’ 컬렉션은 ‘Haute Coture F/w 07’이라고 표기하였다. 연구 방법으로는 컬렉션의 다양한 테마 중에서 대표 작품들을 분석하고 퓨전 이미지로 추출하였다. 추출된 이미지들은 패션 컬렉션 전문 사이트와 패션 잡지 등에서 수집하였으며 수집한 이미지를 중심으로 퓨전적 특성을 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 크리스챤 디오르의 디자이너 존 갈리아노의 패션쇼에서의 퓨전 디자인 특성이 의상과 메이크업·헤어스타일·오브제 등에서 반영되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 크게 세 가지 측면에서 나타난 퓨전은 첫째 동·서양의 문화, 둘째 아방가르드적 특성을 입은 자유로운 퓨전, 셋째 기존의 특성들을 재해석하여 나타난 재창조의 퓨전으로 볼 수 있었다. 퓨전적 요소가 사회·문화적 차원에서 발전되고 있으나, 패션쇼에서의 디자인적 차원에서의 퓨전이 패션뿐만 아니라 헤어스타일과 메이크업 표현에서 함께 발전되어야 함을 제안한다.

영문 초록

This study focuses on the fusion design of the John Galliano collection, a fashion designer for Christian Dior. There are two characteristics that are often displayed in the stream of a Galliano fashion show. The first is the fusion design factor on fashion and the second is fusion design factor on hair styles and make up. This study limited its scope from the Galliano S/S collection of 2000 to the F/W collection of 2009. This study included haute couture, ready to wear and the like. Transcriptions of pictures are designated as follows. In the case of ‘spring and summer of Christian Dior in 2000,’ this is designated as ‘Christian Dior S/S 00’ while the ‘fall and winter of Haute Couture in 2007’ is designated as ‘Haute Couture F/W 07’. This study analysed main works from various themes of collections and extracted fusion images. Extracted images are collected from specialized fashion collection web sites and fashion magazines. This study analysed fusion characteristics mainly from extracted images. The conclusion showed that the fusion characteristics from the Christian Dior designer John Galliano are reflected in clothes, make up, hair style, objects and the like during showings and in this there are three aspects of note. The first is the culture of East and West. The second is a free fusion with Avant Garde characteristic and the third is a fusion of reinvention that appeared by reinterpretation of existing characteristics. Fusion factors are developed as social and cultural aspects.
