청년취업에 있어서 ‘연고주의 사회자본’ 인식의 영향요인에 대한 탐색적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 연고주의적 사회자본 인식의 영향요인을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 본인의 사회경제적 지위와 부모의 사회자본(경제적 자본과 문화적 자본)이 연고주의적 사회자본 인식에 미치는 영향을 다중회귀모형을 통해 실증적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개인이 갖는 사회경제적 지위 중 취업과 임금은 연고주의적 사회자본 인식에 서로 다른 영향을 미쳤다. 취업이 되면 개인은 더욱 강한 연고주의적 사회자본 인식을 갖게 되는 반면, 임금이 높아질수록 연고주의적 사회자본 인식은 낮아지는 것이다. 둘째, 부모가 갖는 사회자본 중 부동산 소득이라는 경제적 자본은 연고주의적 사회자본 인식을 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 부모의 임금 소득과 달리 부동산 소득만이 연고주의적 사회자본 인식을 높인다는 것은 한국 사회가 오랫동안 부동산 신화를 가져온 사회라는 점을 다시 한 번 확인할 수 있게 한다. 이같은 분석 결과는 부모가 교육을 많이 받는 정도보다는 어떤 지위를 가지고 있는가가 문화적 자본을 설명하는데 더욱 유의하며, 더불어 이러한 지위가 자녀의 연고주의적 사회자본 인식에 중대한 영향을 미친다는 점을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 부모가 가진 문화적 자본 중 교육 정도보다는 종사상 지위가 연고주의적 사회자본 인식에 영향을 준다는 점을 확인할 수 있다. 마지막으로 부모가 가진 문화자본은 자녀가 가진 사회경제적 지위의 효과를 조절하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 어머니의 종사상지위 중 무급가족봉사자인 경우 임금 근로자에 비해 개인이 취업한 상태에서 연고주의적 사회자본 인식이 높아지는 정도를 낮추는 것을 확인할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the effects of socioeconomic status and parents social capital on the perception of Nepotic Social Capital. The analysis results are as follows. First, employment and wages among individuals socioeconomic status had different influences on the perception of Nepotic Social Capital. When a person gets a job, he or she has a stronger the perception of Nepotic Social Capital, while the higher the wage, the lower the perception of Nepotic Social Capital. Second, the economic capital of real estate income among the social capital of parents raises the perception of Nepotic Social Capital. Contrary to the wage income of parents, only real estate income raises the perception of an Nepotic Social Capital, which confirms that Korean society has long been a real estate myth. The results of this analysis show that the status of parents rather than the high degree of education is more important in explaining cultural capital, and that this status has a significant impact on the children s the perception of an Nepotic Social Capital. Third, it can be confirmed that working status, rather than education, among cultural capitals owned by parents affects the perception of Nepotic Social Capital. Finally, the cultural capital of parents was found to control the effects of socioeconomic status of children. In the case of unpaid family volunteers in the mother s employment status, it can be seen that lowering the level of the perception of an Nepotic Social Capita in the state of individual employment compared to wage workers.
