자아탄력성과 학교생활적응의 관계에 대한 메타분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 메타분석을 사용하여 자아탄력성과 학교생활적응의 관계를 총체적으로 종합하고, 연구 대상의 학교급 및 특성별, 변인의 척도 및 하위요인별 자아탄력성과 학교생활적응의 관계에 대한 효과 크기를 비교하였다. 이를 위하여 관련 국내 학술지 논문 58편을 선정하여 메타분석을 실시하였으며, 분석 사례는 375개, 표본은 총 51,770명이었다. 분석 결과, 자아탄력성과 학교생활적응 간의 전체 효과크기는 .396이었다. 학교급별 효과크기는 모두 중간 이상이었으며, 그 순서는 고, 중, 초순이었다. 대상유형별로는 비행학생의 경우 효과크기가 유의하지 않은 반면, 위기, 한부모 학생의 경우에는 큰 효과크기를 보였다. 자아탄력성과 학교생활적응 척도별 효과크기 차이는 유의하였다. 자아탄력성의 하위요인 중 대인관계 및 낙관성이 가장 큰 효과크기를 보였고 나머지 하위변인들도 중간 이상의 효과크기를 보였다. 학교생활적응의 하위요인 중 학교행사의 효과크기는 유의하지 않았고, 학습적응과 교우관계는 큰 효과크기, 나머지 하위요인은 중간 이상의 효과크기를 보였다. 이 연구 결과는 학교에서 발생하는 다양한 학교생활의 어려움을 해결하는데 도움을 주고 효과적인 적응을 위한 다양한 프로그램의 개발의 밑거름이 될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the relationship between ego-resilience and adjustment to school life by meta-analysis method. There were 375 cases of analysis in 58 academic studies on the relationship between ego-resilience and adjustment to school life, and 51,770 samples. Based on this, the result showed that the overall effect size between ego-resilience and adjustment to school life was .396. With regard to the characteristics of participants, the effect size between ego-resilience and adjustment to school life was the highest in high school. Next came middle school, and elementary school. The size of effect was moderate for general students, multi-cultural students and disabled students, and large for crisis, and single-parent students. With regard to the characteristics of variables, the sub-factors of the ego-resilience evenly showed a medium size and a large effect size, with the whole of vitality, confidence, and positive future orientation showing a great effect size. Among the sub-factors of the adjustment to school life scale, the school event showed an insignificant correlation while learning adjustment and the friendship relationship showed a large effect size and the remaining sub-factor showed a medium effect size. This confirmed that ego-resilience was a significant factor in adapting to school life. The results of this study will contribute to develop various ego-resilience programs for effective adaptation.
