국문 초록

본 연구는 서번트 리더십에 대해 알아보고 서번트 리더십과 혁신행동과의 구조적관계에서 임파 워먼트의 매개효과를 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 연구대상은 제주지역내 제조업과 서비스기업 종사원 297명으로부터 획득한 자료를 분석하여 활용하였다. 본 연구결과는 첫째, 서번트 리더십 하위요인인 감정적 소유, 지혜, 청지기 정신은 혁신행동에정(+)의 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 임파워먼트는 서번트 리더십과 혁신행동과의 관계는 매개효과가 존재하는 것으로 확인되었다. 서번트 리더십은 임파워먼트를 향상시키고 향상된 임파 워먼트는 긍정적인 결과로 이어질 수 있고, 혁신행동에 영향력이 있다는 것을 보여준다. 이러한 결과는 서번트 리더십이 임파워먼트를 향상시킴으로써 혁신행동에 효과적임을 알 수 있다. 본 연구는 서번트 리더십과 혁신행동의 관계에서 임파워먼트의 매개효과는 중요한 역할을 강조 하였으며, 조직구성원의 혁신행동을 촉진하기 위해서는 서번트 리더십 뿐 만 아니라 임파워먼트의 수준도 높일 수 있도록 노력해야 한다는 실무적 시사점을 제공하였다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to study servant leadership and to investigate the mediating effect of empowerment in the structural relationship of servant leadership and innovative behavior. For the study, data collected from 297 consumers in the manufacturing industry and service industry in the Jeju region were analyzed for utilization. The results of this study are as follows. First, emotional ownership, wisdom and a stewardship spirit, which are sub-factors of leadership, had positive (+) impact on innovative behavior. Second, it was found that empowerment had mediating effects in the relationship of servant leadership and innovative behavior. It was also found that servant leadership can improve empowerment, that enhanced empowerment can lead to positive results, and that it exhibited influence on innovation. Such results show that improving empowerment with servant leadership can be effective in innovative behavior. This study emphasized that the mediating effect of empowerment in the relationship of servant leadership and innovative behavior played an important role, and that in order to promote innovative behavior of members of organizations, it offered practical implication that efforts should be made not only for servant leadership, but also to improve the level of empowerment.
