인지 자극 요법이 지역사회에 거주하는 치매 환자의 인지기능에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적: 이 연구의 목적은 인지 자극 요법이 지역사회 거주중인 치매환자의 인지기능에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 것이다. 방법: 본 연구는 무작위 실험연구이며 치매환자를 실험군20명, 대조군 20명으로 분류하였다. 인지 자극 요법은 총14회였으며 회당 45~60분 주 2회 실시하였다. 실험 전 두집단의 동질성을 검증하였으며 실험 전과 후에 인지기능 검사를하였다. 결과: 두 그룹 모두에서 인지기능의 유의한 향상을 보였다. 두 그룹의 인지기능 점수변화를 비교한 결과 인지기능 평균점수는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 그러나 실험군의 하위항목에서 대조군보다 큰 변화량을 보였다. 결론: 결론적으로, 지역사회 거주하는 치매환자에서 인지자극 요법을 통한 인지기능 향상에 대한 효과를 증명하였다. 추후 본 연구에서 제시된 바와 같이 인지 자극 요법은 지역사회에 활발하게 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

The aim of this study was to identify the effects of cognitive stimulation therapy on dementia patients living in the community. This was a randomized experimental study where dementia patients were sorted into two groups of 20, with one group being the experimental group and the other being the control. The program were performed for 45~60 min each time, twice a week and 14 times in total. Before the experiment, the homogeneity of the two groups was verified, and cognitive functions were evaluated both before and after the experiment. Both groups showed significant improvements in cognitive function. There was no statistically significant difference between the cognitive function score changes of the groups. However, on a sub-item level, the experimental group showed greater changes than the control group. In conclusion, this study has verified that cognitive stimulation therapy can bring about improvements in cognitive function in dementia patients in the community. In the future, cognitive stimulation therapy program presented in this study will be actively utilized in the community.
