국문 초록

The present study aimed to compare the effects of sit-to-stand training on randomized seat height and balance in 22 stroke patients who were randomly divided into two groups. Each group underwent assessment three times per week for six weeks. For static balance, line position static balance with eyes open and closed and limits of stability were measured. For dynamic balance, the sit-to-stand and functional reach tests were performed five times. Variations in static and dynamic balance were compared using paired and independent t-tests. Changes before and after sit-to-stand training in the groups revealed significant changes in both static and dynamic balance (p<.05). However, there were no statistical differences between the groups before and after training in the line position static balance with eyes-closed test (p>.05). The training examined this study had a significant effect on static and dynamic balance in patients who experienced stroke. In particular, providing a random seat height during training has been used clinically as a new rehabilitation method to restore balance in this patient population. Various directions are anticipated to be explored. To generalize the results, future research will require the application of training to various disease groups and multifaceted studies investigating the effectiveness of training based on various evaluation tools.
