토픽모델링을 이용한 창업 관련 신문기사의 보도 경향 분석 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 2010년 1월부터 2020년 6월까지 국내에서 발행된 신문기사 중에서 창업과 관련된 신문의 보도경향을 빈도분석과 토픽모델링의 방법으로 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해서 국내 신문 데이터베이스인 빅카인즈에서 31,578개의 기사를 수집하였고, 수집된 신문기사 자료는 공개프로그램인 R을 이용하여 분석을 하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 살펴보면 2010년 1월부터 2015년까지 공통적으로 강조되는 것은 창업기업과 자금지원에 대한 신문기사 보도의 지속적 증가이며, 2016년 1월부터 2020년 6월까지의 보도경향은 경제분야보다 지역창업 관련분야의 보도 증가를 확인하였다. 신문내용을 토픽 모델링 방법으로 분석한 결과, 연도별 신문기사의 보도는 비슷한 경향을 보이고 있으나 정권별 추진 정책에 따라 조금씩 상이한 것을 확인하였으며 공통적으로 창업기업, 창업지원조직, 자금지원 분야는 지속적으로 보도되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 창업지원정책의 고도화를 통해 창업을 촉진할 필요가 있으며, 정부 및 창업기업의 역할의 중요성을 강조하는 시사점을 도출 할 수 있다. 본 연구의 의의는 창업관련 신문 보도경향 분석에 공개프로그램인 R을 사용하여 토픽분석 등 최근 이슈가 되는 방법을 적용하였다는데에 있다. 창업이 지역, 정치, 사회, 경제, IT, 과학, 국제, 문화 등 다양한 분야에 활용되고 있다는 것을 신문기사를 통해 확인하였다. 따라서 창업의 효과가 다양한 분야에서 영향을 미칠 수 있는 담론을 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the reporting trends of newspapers related to start-up among newspaper articles published in Korea from January 2010 to June 2020 through frequency analysis and topic modeling. To this end, 31,578 articles were collected from Big Cains, a domestic newspaper database, and the collected newspaper article data was analyzed using the open program R. Results of this study, Looking at the results of this study, what is commonly emphasized from January 2010 to 2015 is the continuous increase in news reports on start-up companies and funding, and the reporting trend from January 2016 to June 2020 is the economic sector. More than that, we confirmed the increase in coverage in the area related to local startups. As a result of applying the contents of the newspaper as a topic modeling method, reports of newspaper articles by year showed a similar trend, but it was confirmed that they were slightly different depending on the promotion policies of each regime. Based on this, it is necessary to promote startups through the advancement of startup support policies, and implications that emphasize the importance of the role of the government and startups can be drawn. This study is meaningful in that it applied a method that is a recent issue such as topic analysis by using R, an open program, to the analysis of news trends related to start-up. In addition, it was confirmed through newspaper articles that startups are being used in various fields such as region, politics, society, economy, IT_science, international, and culture. Therefore, we expect the discourse that the effect of start-up can have an effect in various fields.
