CVM에서 표본선택을 고려한 순위형 응답 모형의 적용

국문 초록

조건부 가치측정법(contingent valuation method, CVM)을 수행하기 위해 이용되어 온 통상적인 프로토콜에 대해 검토하고, 통상적인 프로토콜에 포함된 이론적/실증적 난점에 대해 논의하였다. 특히 CVM 설문에서 지불의사금액이 0인 것으로 응답하는 이른바 지불거부응답의 유형과 처리 방안에 대한 기존 연구를 소개하고, 저항응답자를 명시적으로 모형화하여 지불의사금액을 추정하는 데에 이용될 수 있는 ‘표본선택을 고려한 순위형 응답 모형’에 대해 설명하였으며, 이 모형의 추정 기법 및 응용 가능성에 대해 검토하였다. 한국개발연구원에서 수행한 다양한 예비타당성 조사 사업들 중 두 가지 사업을 선택하여 ‘표본선택을 고려한 순위형 응답 모형’의 추정결과와 한국개발연구원의 추정결과를 비교한 결과 우리 모형과 한국개발연구원의 모형의 추정결과가 많게는 7.67배나 발생하였다. 저자들은 이러한 차이를 공변량의 활용과 분포에 대한 가정 등을 포함해 표본선택을 고려한 순위형 응답 모형의 활용에 대해 검토할 필요성을 강력하게 시사하는 것으로 해석하고 있다.

영문 초록

Conventional protocols that have been used to perform the contingent valuation method(CVM) were reviewed, and theoretical/empirical difficulties included in the conventional protocols were discussed. In particular, it introduces the existing research on the type of so-called refusal to pay a response that responds with a 0 in CVM questionnaire and how to deal with it. The ranked response model considering sample selection was explained, and the estimation technique and applicability of this model were reviewed. As a result of comparing the estimation results of the ranked response model considering sample selection with two of the various preliminary feasibility studies conducted by the Korea Development Institute and the estimation results of the Korea Development Institute, The model s estimation result was 7.67 times as many. The authors interpret these differences as strongly suggesting the necessity of reviewing the use of a ranking response model that considers sample selection, including the use of covariates and assumptions about the distribution.
