국문 초록

본 연구는 미혼여성의 결혼, 출산, 일-가정 양립에 관한 인식이 직장경험을 통해 어떻게 구 성되는지를 탐색한 연구이다. 이를 위해 20대 후반∼30대 초반 정규직 미혼여성의 직장 내 경 험에 관한 진술을 Creswell의 나선형 자료분석 절차를 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 참여자 들은 현재 직장에서 일상적으로 결혼과 출산, 양육에 관한 다양한 지침과 메시지를 직접적으로 듣고 있었으며, 직장에서의 일-가정 양립을 위한 제도나 이러한 제도 활용이 당연한 문화인지 불편한 문화인지와 더불어 함께 일하는 기혼여성을 보면서 본인의 미래의 모습을 그려보고 있 었다. 참여자들은 이러한 직장에서의 직ㆍ간접적인 경험을 종합적으로 고려하여 일과 결혼, 출 산, 양육에 관해 양립을 할지 혹은 양자택일을 할지를 선택하였다. 본 연구결과는 정규직 미혼 여성의 목소리를 통해 직장에서 경험되는 일-가정 양립의 실제와 직장에서의 경험이 결혼 및 출산 의도와 연결되는 메커니즘을 구체적으로 보여주었다는 데에 그 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study explores how unmarried women s perceptions of marriage, childbirth, and work-family balance are organized through their experiences at work. Researchers of the study qualitatively analyzed the statements of full-time unmarried women based on Creswell s data analysis spiral, and the participants were unmarried women in their late twenties to early thirties working in full-time jobs. As a result, the main themes of my present , my future , and my choice were derived. Participants were accepting various guidelines and messages about marriage, childbirth, and parenting in their current workplace. In addition, they predicted their future according to the systems at workplace for work-family balance, whether it is feasible or uncomfortable to use such a system, watching married women working together. Furthermore, participants took into account these direct and indirect experiences at work and chose whether to be compatible or to select between work or marriage, childbirth, and parenting. These findings are meaningful in that the work-family balance experienced among full-time unmarried women specifically illustrated the mechanisms associated with work and choice of marriage or childbirth.
