국문 초록

트란실바니아는 동유럽과 중부 유럽 및 남동 유럽에 속하는 지역으로서 헝가리와 루마니아 인이 주로 거주하며 유럽에서 민족과 국가 간의 불일치가 현저하게 나타나는 지역중의 하나이다. 이 지역에서 나타나는 이런 불일치는 언어적으로나 문화적으로 이질적인 루마니아인과 헝가리인이 각각 이 지역을 자신의 영역으로 간주하기 때문이다. 이러한 분쟁의 원인은 민족주의의 발흥시기에 트란실바니아(Transylvania)에 루마니아가 탄생 하였고, 그 이래로 이 역을 소유하기 위한 노력을 강화하였기 때문이다. 루마니아와 헝가리 사이에 이 지역을 소유하기 위한 분쟁은 이 시기부터 계속되었다. 1867년의 타협으로 트란실바니아는 헝가리의 영토가 되었다. 헝가리는 이 지역을 자신의 고토로 간주하며 역사적, 문화적 근거지로 생각한다. 이러한 헝가리의 주장을 받아들이지 못하는 루마니아는 지속적으로 이 지역을 병합하기 위하여 노력했고, 제1차 세계대전의 결과로1920년 트리아농조약에 의해 이 지역을 획득하게 되었다. 이 논문에서는 트리아농 조약의 과정과 내용, 이러한 과정에서 나타난 양국민간의 갈등과 활동을 민족주의의 강화라는 관점에서 분석하였다.

영문 초록

Transylvania is a region belonging to East Central and South East Europe and is predominantly inhabited by Hungarians and Romanians, and is one of the most marked regions of disparity between nations and countries in Europe. This inconsistency in the region is because Romanian and Hungarians, who are heterogeneous in language and culture, each consider the region their own. The reason for this conflict is that Romania was born in the period of nationalism, near Transylvania, and since then, efforts to own the area have been strengthened. Disputes between Romania and Hungary to own the region continued from that time. The compromise of 1867 made Transylvania a territory of Hungary. Hungary regards the region as its homeland and considers it a historical and cultural base. Romania, unable to accept these claims of Hungary, continually tried to merge the region, and as a result of the First World War, it was acquired by the Trianon Treaty in 1920. This paper analyzes the process and activities of both countries at the Peace Treaty of Trianon. And the conflicts and activities between the two nations in the viewpoint of strengthening nationalism.
