월미바다열차 관광행태 분석을 통한 월미도 관광 발전전략 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 월미바다 열차의 이용객 만족도 조사를 통해 월미도 미래활성화 전략을 도출하는 데 있다. 연구결과 월미도에 대한 관광지로서의 최대 장점은 접근성이며, 단점으로는 신규 시설 및 프로그램 등 관광프로그램의 부족이다. 즉, 새로운 시설 및 프로 그램, 편의시설, 타 관광지와의 연계성 부족, 대기시간, 열차 내 좌석 배치 등 관람환경 개선이 요구된다. 현재 월미바다열차 만족 도 및 재방문의사는 높은 수준이나 재방문을 지속적으로 유지하기 위해서는 다양한 개선이 필요하다. 이를 바탕으로 월미바다열 차의 발전계획을 제시하면, 첫째, 월미바다열차의 국제화, 둘째, 시설의 다양화 및 고도화, 셋째, 월미바다열차의 경영효율 제고이 다. 본 연구의 큰 성과는 비록 월미바다열차에 국한되었다고 하나 월미도의 전반에 대한 발전에 대한 틀 역시 제공하였다는 점에 서 의미가 있을 뿐 아니라 월미바다열차와 같은 모노레일의 마케팅 전략에 대해 연구의 방향성을 처음으로 제시했다는 점에서 큰 의의를 찾을 수 있다. 본 연구를 시작으로 앞으로 월미도 통합 발전계획을 기획할 필요가 있다. 월미도는 서울과 공항의 중심부에 있는 해안 관광산업의 중심부로서 그리고 영종 복합리조트의 관문이 될 수 있는 공항의 핵심 관광 인프라로서 가능성을 갖고 있 기 때문에 수도권 및 인천의 관광산업 발전을 위한 세심한 마케팅 전략 설정의 필요성을 갖고 있다고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to derive the strategies for revitalizing Wolmido through the surveys on the satisfaction of Wolmi Sea Train passengers. The results of this study indicate (show) that the biggest advantage for Wolmido is the accessibility, whereas the disadvantage the biggest advantage for Wolmido is the accessibility, and the disadvantage is the lack of attractions for tourists such as the new facilities and amusing programs. In other words, it is necessary to prepare and improve the touring environment such as implementing new amusing facilities, improving the connectivity with other tourist attractions, reducing the waiting time, and preparing more seats in trains. At present, the satisfaction level with Wolmi Sea Train and the revisit rates are relatively high, but various improvements are needed for continuously maintaining these rates. For this, the suggestions for developing the Wolmi Sea Train are as follows; firstly, internationalizing the Wolmi Sea Train, secondly, diversifying and upgrading the facilities, and thirdly, enhancing the management efficiency of Wolmi Sea Train. Although the result of this study is limited to the Wolmi Sea Train, it was meaningful in that it also provided a framework for the overall development of Wolmi Island. In near future, it is necessary to start the Wolmido Integrated Development Plan. Wolmido has the potential as the core tourism infrastructure for both the airports and the Yeongjong Complex Resort, the center of the coastal tourism industry in Asia.
