국문 초록

곽종석(郭鍾錫)은 조선말기부터 일제강점기에 살았던 유학자이자 문인이다. 그의 사작품은 한국 역사에서 가장 암울했던 경술국치의 시기에 국가와 사회에 충만해 있던 위기감과 우려감이 자연스럽게 스며들어가 있다. 우국충정의 마음, 세상살이의 험난함, 개인의 불행한 처지 등을 담당하게 읊조리고 있다. 그의 사작품은 총16수인데 제재별로 크게 4가지 유형으로 나눌 수 있다. 첫째, 어느 한 자연풍광이나 사물을 대상으로 삼아 그 내적, 외적 특징을 묘사하면서 그 속에 작가가 느꼈던 정서를 기탁한 영물사(詠物詞)가 있다. 둘째, 구한말 일제에 나라를 빼앗긴 시대적 아픔과 가슴 속에 맺힌 한스러움과 온갖 인생역정 속에서 내적인 감회를 표현한 영회사(詠懷詞)가 있다. 셋째, 은거하면서 자신의 마음을 고요히 다스리고 산수를 찾아 심신을 정화하면서 은일의 서정을 토로하였고, 자연을 마주하여 물아일체의 심정을 느끼고 일상생활을 담담하게 읊어낸 은일사(隱逸詞)가 있다. 넷째, 사회생활 속에서 친구나 사제간의 교류를 통하여 인간관계를 돈독히 하고, 우정과 공경과 사랑의 마음을 담아 쓴 교유사(交游詞)가 있다. 곽중석 사작의 특징을 요약해보면, 詞를 詩처럼 인식하여 일상적으로 접할 수 있는 자연경물과 주변의 소재를 통하여 촉발된 감정을 자연스럽고 평이하게 표현한 점, 당시 구한말의 암울했던 시대현실을 자각하고 구국 활동을 하면서 느낀 애국사상을 사에 은근하게 담아 표현했다는 점을 들 수 있겠다.

영문 초록

This paper reverses the 16th number of Ci Poetry works by Kwak Jong-seok at the end of the Joseon Dynasty. In summary, the four types of sanctions are divided into four types based on the company s central sanctions. First, there is Yeongmul-Ci Poetry, which donated the emotions the writer felt while describing the inner and outer characteristics of a natural scenery or object. Second, there is Younghoei-Ci Poetry, which expresses the pain of the times when the country was lost to the Japanese at the end of the Joseon Dynasty, the sorrow in the heart, and the inner feelings in all kinds of life journeys. Third, while living in seclusion, he calmly controlled his mind and body, visited Sansu, and purified his mind and body, and expressed the lyric of Eunil-Ci Poetry, who expressed the emotions of Eunil and calmly recited his daily life in the face of nature. Fourth, there is Kyoyu-Ci Poetry a history of friendship, respect, and love in social life that strengthens human relations through exchanges between friends and priests. As such, Kwak s private works are very colorful. He donated his noble character and orphaned spirit to the relics, and prayed for his longing for his friends, repentance and blessing while exchanging gifts with his friends and colleagues. He also sang lightly what happened in his daily life, and described the joy of living in seclusion that was free from the world. Gwak Jung-seok s two characteristics include the natural and easy expression of the emotions triggered by the natural scenery and surrounding materials that can be encountered in everyday life by recognizing the grim realities of the late Joseon Dynasty and the patriotic thoughts he felt during his country s activities to regain the lost country.
