국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 다문화교육의 교육자본화에 관한 연구이다. 다문화사회로 들어선 한국사회에서 다문화교육은 한국교육의 성패를 좌지우지할 수 있는 핵심 과제이다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 현재까지 이루어진 다문화교육에 관한 연구들은 눈앞에 벌어지는 문제에 대한 해결에만 치우쳐져 제대로 된 미래지향적인 실천적 연구는 결핍된 것이 사실이다. 이주민들에게도 배우는 것은 본능이다. 그들에게도 교육받는다는 것은 개인의 삶과 공동체를 개조하는 힘이다. 이를 가능하게 해주는 교육철학과 방법이 다문화교육이다. 이것이 본 논문의 핵심주제이다. 다문화교육은 이주민들의 배울 수 있는 본능과 능력에 대해 새롭게 인지해야 한다. 이주민들과 함께 배우고 익힐 수 있는 다문화교육에 대한 고민은 포스트모던 지식정보화사회에서 필수적으로 고민되어야 한다. 결론적으로, 이주민들에 대한 다문화교육이 효과적으로 실현되기 위해서는 인간자본과 사회자본, 그리고 교육자본이 상호적으로 연결된 교육자본화의 노력이 필수적으로 요구된다. 다문화교육을 교육자본화하기 위해서는 한국에 머물고 있는 이주노동자들과 이주여성 그리고 그들의 자녀들을 이 사회의 중요한 인력자원으로 간주하는 관점이 우선 필요하다. 결과적으로 그들을 위한 공간, 관계 활동의 교육자본화가 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to study the educational capitalization of multicultural education. In the postmodern knowledge-based society of the 21st century, multicultural education is the key to the success or failure of Korean education. Nevertheless, the studies on multicultural education that have been made up to now are biased only in the phenomena perspective and lack of proper future-oriented practical research. Learning from members of multicultural families is also an instinct. To be educated in them is also the power to transform individual lives and communities. This is the main theme of this paper. In order for education of members of multicultural families to be realized properly, efforts to make educational capital in which human capital, social capital, and educational capital are interconnected with each other are needed. In order to capitalize multicultural education, it is necessary to first regard the members of multicultural families who are staying in this country as important human resources of the society. As a result, there is a need for educational capitalization of space and relational activities for them. This effort serves as a force of expectation that promises to develop the society.
