노인의 삶의 만족도 유형과 관련 변인 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 2017년 한국복지패널의 12차년도 자료 중 만 65세 이상 노인을대상으로 교차분석과 대응일치분석을 적용하여 노인의 삶의 만족도 유형과인구사회변인과의 연관관계를 분석하였다. 연구결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 군집분석을 통하여 노인의 삶의 만족도를 유형화한 결과 ‘고만족도’ 집단, ‘저만족도’ 집단, ‘중만족도’ 집단, 그리고 소득수준이 낮고, 건강이나쁘지만 다른 영역에서 삶의 만족도가 매우 높은 ‘저소득/저건강 만족도’ 집단으로 분류되었다. 둘째, ‘고만족도’ 노인 집단은 남성 노인, 낮은 연령층노인, 고학력 노인, 서울 거주 노인, 유배우 노인, 부부동거 가구 노인과 밀접한 연관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, ‘저만족도’ 노인 집단은 여성 노인, 70-80대 노인, 저학력 노인, 광역시 거주 노인, 이혼/별거/미혼 노인, 단독이나 조손가구 집단과 밀접한 연관이 있었다. 넷째, 소득이나 건강에서는 만족도가 매우 낮지만 기타 주거환경, 가족관계, 사회적 친분관계, 여가생활, 전반적 만족도 등 기타 모든 영역에서 삶의 만족도가 높은 ‘저소득/저건강 만족도’ 집단은 여성 노인, 70대와 80대 노인, 저학력 노인, 시, 군 등 대도시화가 덜 진행된 지역에 사는 노인, 유배우자나 사별 상태인 노인, 부부동거나단독가구 노인과 연관이 있는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to find the types of the aged life satisfaction and association with demographic characteristics by appling crosstabs analysis and correspondence analysis. An analysis was conducted on the aged over 65 years old from the data of the ‘2017 Korean Welfare Panel’. The major findings are as follows. First, as a result of a clustering analysis of the elderly’s life satisfaction, they are classified as ‘high-satisfaction’ groups, ‘low-satisfaction’ groups, ‘middle- satisfaction’ groups, and ‘low-income/low-health’ groups with low income levels and bad health status but high life satisfaction. Second, the ‘high-satisfaction’ elderly group is found to be closely related to the male, the low-age elderly, the highly educated elderly, the elderly resident in Seoul, the conjugal cohabitation households. Third, the ‘low-satisfaction’ elderly group is closely related to the female, the elderly in their 70s and 80s, the elderly in low-educated, the elderly living in the metropolitan area, the elderly in divorce/ separation/unmarried marriage status, and the group of stand-alone or grandparents-grandchildren household. Fourth, the ‘low income/low health’ group, whose satisfaction level is very high in spite of low income and bad health status is found to be related to the female, the elderly in their 70s and 80s, the elderly in low-educated, the aged living in rural areas, the elderly people with conjugal cohabitation or stand-alone household.
