GIS분석을 이용한 경기 광주 유정리 구석기유적의 형성과 범위

국문 초록

이번 연구는 최근 발굴조사가 이루어진 경기 광주 유정리 구석기유적을 대상으로 GIS분석을 시도하였다. GIS분석을 통해 유적의 지형, 지질, 입지 변화 양상, 지형 기복 현황 등을 종합하여 유적의 형성과정과 범위 추정을 위한 시험적인 연구를 진행하였다. 광주 유정리 구석기유적은 경기도 광주시 도척면 유정리 426번지 일원에 위치하고 있다. 이번 발굴조사를 통해 총 7개의 지층이 드러났으며, 이 안에서 3개의 유물층이 확인되었다. 1유물층과 2유물층에서 나온 대부분의 유물은 조각과 부스러기이며, 잔손질된 도구는 각각 50여 점 정도이다. 3유물층에서는 몸돌과 격지, 조각을 포함하여 대체로 몸체 큰 석기가 출토되었다. 이러한 광주 유정리 구석기유적을 대상으로 GIS분석 결과를 바탕으로 유적의 형성과정을 유추하였으며, 나아가 유적의 추가적인 범위를 예상해보고자 하였다. 그 결과, 광주 유정리 구석기유적은 뒤쪽(남쪽)으로 선캠브리아기 흑운모편마암의 산악지가 배후를 막아주고, 앞(남쪽)으로는 남서에서 북동방향으로 형성된 넓은 홍적대지가 형성되어 있다. 홍적대지를 너머 북쪽에는 비교적 넓은 유량을 가지는 노곡천이 흐르고 있어 용수를 취득하거나 석재 및 식량을 채집하기 용이한 좋은 입지 조건을 가지는 것으로 판단된다. 광주 유정리 구석기유적의 형성과정을 북반구 기후변화 곡선과 연관하여 검토하면, MIS 3기에서 최종빙기최성기(LGM)을 지나 점차 온난한 기후까지 총 3개의 유물층이 확인되었다. 이러한 유물층별 양상은 GIS분석을 통해 기복현황, 퇴적양상, 유물분포 등의 변화와 형성과정을 파악할 수 있었다. 나아가 유적의 범위가 남쪽과 서쪽으로 확장되는 비교적 큰 규모에 해당될 것으로 추정하였다. 이번 연구를 통해 과거 지형자료, 지질도, 토양도 등으로 부족했던 고지형에 대한 복원을 드론를 활용한 현장조사 및 GIS분석 결과를 통해 보다 명확한 자료를 제시할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study attempted GIS analysis on the recently excavated Paleolithic Site in Yujeong-ri, Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do. Through the GIS analysis, the topography, geology, location change patterns of the ruins, and the status of topography relief were synthesized to conduct an experimental study to estimate the formation process and extent of the ruins. This study targeted the ruins of the Paleolithic Site in Yujeong-ri, Gwangju, which was recently discovered and investigated. The Yujeong-ri Paleolithic site in Gwangju is located at 426 Yujeong-ri, Docheok-myeon, Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi-do. A total of seven layers were revealed through this excavation, and three cultural layers were identified. Most of the cultural layer from the 1st, 2nd cultural layer are fragments and debris, and there are about 50 stone-tools. In the 3rd cultural layer, large stone tools were excavated, including cores, flakes, and debris. Based on the results of GIS analysis for the Yujeong-ri Paleolithic site in Gwangju, the process of forming the site was inferred, and further attempts were made to predict the range of additional sites. As a result, the Yujeong-ri Paleolithic site in Gwangju are in the rear (south), and the mountainous region of the Suncambrian biotite gneiss prevents the rear, and in the front (south), a diluvial terrace formed in the southwest from the southwest. Beyond the diluvial terrace, there is a relatively large quantity of Nogok Stream that flows in the north, so the location conditions that are easily obtained from water, rock and food are good. Reviewing the formation process of the Paleolithic relics in Yujeong-ri, Gwangju in connection with the Northern Hemisphere climate change curve, A total of three cultural layers have been identified, from MIS 3 through the final LGM (last glacial maximum) to a gradually warmer climate. Through this GIS analysis, the pattern of each cultural layer was able to grasp the change and formation process of relief status, sedimentation pattern, and stone tools distribution. Furthermore, it was estimated that the scope of the Paleolithic sites would be relatively large, extending south and west. Through this study, it was possible to present clearer data through the field survey using drones and the results of GIS analysis to restore the high-topography that was insufficient due to topographic data, geological map, and soil map.
