국문 초록

가피아스 소장 자료에 수록되어 있는 김병호류 가야금산조 음원의 앞과 뒤에 수록되어 있는 두 종류의 가락, 즉 ‘산조 다스름’과 ‘김병호제 허튼가락’을 분석하여 알아낸 사실은 다음과 같다. ‘산조 다스름’은 긴산조를 연주하기 전에 조율을 확인하는 용도로 연주한 가락이다. 리듬형태가 나타나지 않고 선율의 기능이 작용하지 않으며, 시김새나 농현의 개입이 거의 없는 점 등으로 보아서 단독 악장의 다스름으로 볼 수 없다. ‘김병호제 허튼가락’은 가피아스가 김병호의 가야금산조를 녹음 할 당시 녹음테이프의 남아있는 시간 분량을 채워 맞추기 위해, 즉흥을 토대로 연주한 가락이 녹음으로 남아 있는 것이다. 전체 가락의 절반 이상에 해당하는 변청 가락이 사용되고 있으며, 독특하게 귀곡성 선율이 7장단에 걸쳐 나타나고 있다. 그리고 김병호와 연관이 있는 명인들의 가락에서 받은 영향이 드러나는 가락들을 찾아 볼 수 있는데, 이러한 양상은 한 연주자가 자신의 가락을 연주할 때 본인의 독창적인 가락 이외의 가락을 본인연주에 삽입하고 융화시켜 새롭게 가락을 만들어가는 초창기 산조 명인들의 작곡방식을 엿보게 하는 귀중한 장면이라고 하겠다.

영문 초록

The following facts were discovered through analyses of the two types of melodies, that is, ‘Sanjo Dasreum’ and ‘Heoteungarak by Kim Byung Ho’ that are contained in the front and the rear of the sound source Kim Byung Ho school of Gayageum Sanjo included in Garfias’ collection. ‘Sanjo Dasreum’ is a melody played to check the tuning before playing Sanjo. It cannot be regarded as a Dasreum of an independent movement in that no rhythmic form appears, the functions of the melody do not work, and there are few interventions of articulations or vibrations. ‘Heoteungarak by Kim Byung Ho’ is the melody played on the basis of improvisation in order to fill the remaining amount of the time of the recording tape used when Garfias recorded the Kim Byung Ho school of Gayageum Sanjo remaining as recording. Transposed melodies account for at least a half of the entire melodies used, and uniquely, ghost’s wail melodies appear over seven beats. In addition, melodies that reveal the influences of the melodies of virtuosos related to Kim Byung Ho can be found. This aspect can be said to be a valuable sample that gives a glimpse of the composition method of early Sanjo virtuosos who inserted and harmonized other melodies than their original melodies when they played their melodies to make new melodies.
