국문 초록

국내 복합영상관의 단일 가연물을 대상으로 실물 화재실험이 수행되었으며, 측정된 열발생률(HRR)에 대한 디자인 화재곡선 방법(General 및 2-stage methods)에 따른 최대 HRR 및 화재성장률에 대한 정량적 차이가 검토되었다. 가연물의 용도 및 화재하중의 관점에서 대기공간과 영화상영관으로 구분되어, 총 12개의 가연물이 선정되었다. 주요결과로서, 2-stage method 통해 산출된 최대 HRR 및 화재성장률은 General method의 결과와 정량적으로 큰 차이가있음을 확인하였다. 초기 화재단계의 보다 정확한 화재성장률을 고려할 수 있는 2-stage method의 활용은 정확한ASET과 RSET 뿐만 아니라 화재감지기 및 소화설비의 작동시간을 보다 정확히 예측하는데 매우 유용할 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

An actual fire test was performed on single combustibles placed in a local cinema complex, and quantitative differencesin the maximum heat release rate (HRR) and fire growth rate were investigated based on the design fire curve methods(i.e., the general and 2-stage methods). In terms of combustible use and fire load, a total of 12 combustibles were selected,classified into cinema lounge and movie theater. It was found that the maximum HRR and fire growth rate determined usingthe two-stage method were quantitatively different from those of the general method. The application of the two-stagemethod, which can be used to determine the fire growth rate of the initial fire stage more precisely, could be useful inaccurately predicting the activation time of fire detectors and fire-extinguishing facilities, as well as the available safe egresstime (ASET) and required safe egress time (RSET).
