영문 초록

Societies have changed dramatically in short period of time; the concepts and scopes of beauty are getting wider and more complex. Among them, hairstyle is widely used as a psychological means of expression and can cause psychological effects well. So, this study focuses on social trends, the relationship between the emotional trends, and modern hairstyle changes considering the psychological effects. The study distributed 470 questionnaires, from August 30 to September 25, 2019, to both male and female adults. Of the questionnaires, 468 were collected, of which 459 were used for the final analyses. Emotional healing based on hairstyle had a significant effect on self-esteem. In turn, self-esteem had a significant effect on recovery resilience. Emotional healing had a significant effect on recovery resilience as well. Also, the mediating effect of self-esteem was identified between emotional healing and recovery resilience. Based on the results of this study, hairstyle changes help to achieve psychological healing and can be used as a basis for developing healing programs and systems. This study can be used as data to contribute to the new direction and development of the beauty salon market.
