국문 초록

조선대학교 ‘사고와 표현1, 2 ’ 과목은 전체 1학년 학생을 대상으로 각 분반별로 같은 과목을 여러 교수가 진행한다. 교수자별 강의 계획서는 ‘사고와 표현’ 교재를 중심으로 다소 유연하게 짤 수 있다. 학생들은 교수자들의 특성을 알고 각 전공별 교수자가 담당하는 분반을 선택하여 수강할 수 있다. 그래서 ‘사고와 표현’ 과목을 동시에 강의하는 교수들을 중심으로 학생들의 강의에 대한 다양한 필요를 채우면서 아울러 강의자의 특성을 살려 보다 질적인 수업을 해보려는 노력의 일환으로 스터디가 진행되었다. ‘사고와 표현’이라는 과목을 가르치는 교수자가 어느 한 전공에 치우치기보다는 인문학 전공자들이 교수한다는 것은 의미 있는 일이다. 학생들에게 어떠한 영향을 줄 수 있는가에 대한 결과를 도출하기 이전에 인문학 분야의 전공 교수들의 수업을 분석할 필요성이 있다고 본다. 교수자들은 2013년 1학기 동안 공동 연구를 통해 각각의 수업모형을 비교, 분석하였다. 국문학 전공, 역사학 전공 그리고 교육학을 전공한 교수들이 대학에서 기초 교육을 수행함에 있어 수업모형을 비교해 보았다. 비교 항목으로 1) 강의계획서, 2) 수업모형 및 내러티브 비교 순으로 서술하였다. 이 과목의 목표는 비판적이고 창의적인 사고력을 갖추어 자신의 생각을 보다 효율적으로 표현하고, 글쓰기와 발표를 통해 의사소통 능력을 키우며 나아가 인문학에 관한 통찰력을 길러 보다 넓은 시각과 견해를 갖춘 지적인 교양인이 되는 것이다. 내러티브를 통한 수업은 우리가 사전에 알고 있는 정보나 사실들을 초월하는 보다 보편적이고 포괄적인 것을 이해할 수 있게 하여 지식의 구조를 발견하는데 도움을 줄 수 있다.

영문 초록

The courses titled ‘Thinking and expression’ 1 & 2 from Chosun University are designed for entire freshmen students and these same courses are lectured by diverse professors for each class. The class syllabus of each lecturer can be altered or varied based on textbooks of ‘Thinking and Expression.’ Students can choose to take a class among many professors after understanding characteristics of lecturers. Therefore, students various needs for the courses can be met by professors delivering the lecture, ‘Thinking and Expression’ in the same way and at the same time study activities for better qaulity of courses are performed to emphasize characteristics of lecturers. It is meaningful in that a lecturer teaching ‘Thinking and Expression’ doesn t cover only one course but it is also taught by humanities specialists. So it appears to be necessary to analyze courses of professors from the field of humanities before deducting the result about effects on students. Lecturers compare and analyze each course model through joint research during the first semester of year 2013. Course models in conducting fundamental education by professors specialized in Korean Literature, History and Education will be compared. Comparison will be made in order, which is as follows; 1) Class syllabus, 2) Compare models and narrative lessons. Thus, the objective of this course is to instill critical and creative thinking in students so that they can express their thoughts more efficiently, improve communication ability through writing and presentation and become intelligent, well-educated people with broader views and opinions by fostering insight about humanities. Classes through the narrative(s) can help discover the structure of knowledge by letting us understand something universal and comprehensive that surpasses information and facts that we have known.
