자아존중감을 중심으로 한 아동의 협동미술활동에 대한 질적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교 저학년 아동을 대상으로 자아존중감을 중심으로 한 아동의 협동미술활동 프로그램을 수행하여 이를 통해 연구 참여자인 아동이 겪게 되는 과정과 경험에 따른 변화를 질적으로 살펴보는데 목적을 두었다. 이에 따라 두 가지 연구 문제를 선정하였으며 이는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자아존중감을 중심으로 한 아동의 협동미술활동은 아동에게 어떠한 경험을 제공 하는가 이며 둘째, 자아존중감을 중심으로 한 아동의 협동미술활동은 아동의 자아존중감에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가이다. 연구 목적을 위하여 자아존중감을 중심으로 한 협동미술활동 프로그램을 구성하여 실시하였다. 본 연구의 참여자는 9세에서 10세 아동기의 아동 4명으로, 2019년 3월부터 5월까지 총 20차시에 해당하는 협동미술활동 수업을 시행하였으며, 매 차시 마다 참여 관찰을 통하여 아이들의 변화 과정을 살펴보고 차시가 종료되는 시점마다 개인별 심층면담을 진행하였으며, 수업이 모두 종료된 뒤 양육자와의 심층면담도 진행하였다. 진행 된 수업과 면담은 녹음 및 전사하여 자료로 수집하고 분석하였다. 그 외에도 부모와의 심층 면담 자료와 수업 참여 및 관찰 일지, 아이들의 수업 활동 및 작품의 사진 자료를 수집하였다. 질적 사례 분석 방법 중에서도 월코트(Wolcott)의 ‘기술’,‘분석’,‘해석’의 방식을 택하였으며, 수집한 자료를 범주화 한 이후에 주제에 맞추어 분석하여 정리하였다. 수집한 자료들을 기술하고 분석한 결과, 총 4개의 상위 범주와 18개의 하위 범주로 나뉘어졌다. 결론적으로, 자아존중감을 중심으로 한 아동의 협동미술활동이 아동의 자아존중감 및 자아의 긍정적 발달에 상관관계를 가지고 유의미한 경험을 제공하였음을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to conduct a cooperative art activity program for children of lower grades in elementary school considering self - esteem, and to examine qualitatively the process and experience of children who participated in the study. Two research problems were selected as follows. First, how does cooperative art activities of children considering self - esteem contribute to children? Second, how does cooperative art activities of children considering self - esteem affect children s self - esteem? For the purpose of research, cooperative art activity program considering self - esteem was constructed. Participants of this study were four children from 9 to 10 years old, and participated in 20 art classes from March to May, 2019. Through participation observation, . In - depth interviews were held at the end of each session, and in - depth interviews with the parents were conducted after the classes were over. The progressed lessons and interviews were collected and analyzed by recording and transcription. In addition, we collected in-depth interviews with parents, class participation and observation logs, children s class activities, and photographs of their works. Among the qualitative case analysis methods, Wolcott s technology , analysis and interpretation were adopted. After the collected data were categorized, they were analyzed and arranged according to the theme. As a result of analyzing and analyzing the collected data, it was divided into four upper categories and 18 sub categories. In conclusion, it was confirmed that the cooperative art activities of children considering self-esteem provided a meaningful experience by correlating the child s self-esteem and positive development of self.
