국문 초록

츠빙글리와 멜랑흐톤은 마르부르크 회의 첫날 양자회담을 통해 대화를 나눈다. 본고는 둘 사이에 이루어진 대화 내용을 츠빙글리의 회의록과 멜랑흐톤의 보고서를 통하여 짐작해보는 시도를 한다. 양자회담에서 논의된 주제는 말씀에 대한 이해, 원죄 문제, 기독론 문제, 그리고 가장 중요한 성찬에 대한 견해이다. 비텐베르크는 개혁파의 견해에 대하여 이단과 연결시키며 심각하게 비판하였다. 그러나 둘 사이의 의견교환으로 이루어진 대화는 근본적인 교리적 문제에 상당한 접근이 존재한다는 사실을 드러내었다. 특히 성찬의 주체에 대한 입장에서 멜랑흐톤은 루터 보다 츠빙글리에 가까운 것이 드러난다. 그리고 성경해석의 원리도 일치 하는 것이 드러난다. 그러나 그리스도의 육적 임재에 대한 견해에는 일치하지 못한 채, 회담이 끝났다. 이 실패는 신학적 차이를 드러내는 것이면서도 정치적 결과물이기도 했다. 그러나 이 회담을 통해 종교개혁의 양 진영이 신학적 큰 차이가 있다는 오해를 불식하고, 오히려 그들 가운데 큰 공통점이 있다는 사실이 드러나게 되었다.

영문 초록

Zwingli and Melanchthon speak at their individual meeting on the first day of the Marburg conference. This article attempts to guess the dialogue between the two through Zwingli’s minute and Melanchthon’s reports. The topics discussed in the meeting are the understanding of the Word, the question of original sin, the problem of Christology, and most importantly the views of the Eucharist. The Wittenberg has severely criticized the Reformed for linking their views with heresy. But the dialogue between the two has revealed that there was a considerable approach to the fundamental doctrinal problem. In particular, from the standpoint of the subject of the Eucharist, Melanchthon reveals that his view is closer to Zwingli than Luther. And the principle of interpretation of the Bible also coincides. However, they disagreed with their views on the physical presence of Christ in the Eucharist and ended the talks. This failure was both a theological result and a political result. However, this meeting revealed that both sides of the Reformation erased the misconception that there were great theological differences, and that they had a great commonality among them.
