장애인 평생교육 관련 국내연구 동향분석 : 1998년부터 2018년까지

국문 초록

이 연구는 1998년 특수교육계에 장애인 평생교육에 대한 연구가 처음 시작된 이래 현재까지 장애인평생교육과 관련된 논문의 연구대상과 주제 등을 살펴봄으로써 연구의 동향을 파악하고, 향후 나아갈 방향에 대한 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국교육학술정보 시스템(RISS)에서 검색되는 총 224편의 논문을 선정하였으며, 연구의 일반적 특성, 연구 방법, 연구주제 및 내용으로 영역을 나누어 세부 분야별로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 지난 20년간 게재된 장애인 평생교육 관련 논문은 특수교육과 장애인 복지 분야에서 집중적으로 게재되고 있었고, 2007년 이후 특히 2015년 이후로 급증하고 있었다. 둘째, 연구방법은 문헌연구와 조사연구가 절대적으로 많은 비중을 차지하고 있었다. 장애영역은 발달장애 영역에서 가장 많 은 연구가 수행되었지만 실제 연구 대상은 장애인 당사자보다 부모나 관련자였다. 셋째, 연구주제영역은 실천현장과 관련된 연구와 정책관련 연구가 주로 이루어진 반면 학문적 근간을 이루는 패러다임이나 이론, 철학, 학문연구에 대한 것은 많지 않았다. 이 연구 결과를 볼 때, 지난 20년간 장애인 평생교육 관련 국내 연구경향은 평생교육 철학에 대한 논의와 패러다임 및 이론적 고찰보다는 장애인 평생교육 요구와 프로그램 등 실천적 접근에 편중되어 있었다. 장애인 평생교육의 학문적 발전과 더불어 장기적인 관점에서 어떤 토대 위에 서야 하며 나아갈 방향은 어디인지 숙고할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to identify research trends in Korea and to suggest implications for the direction of the future by analyzing subjects and theme of research related to lifelong learning for people with special needs from 1998 to 2018. To do this, a total of 224 papers were selected from the Korean Educational Research and Information System (RISS). The research areas were divided into general characteristics, research methods, research theme and contents. The results of this study are as follows: First, the articles on lifelong learning for people with special needs for the past 20 years have been increased in the field of special education and welfare, especially after 2015. Second, literature research and survey studies were absolutely dominant. Most of the people with special needs studied were in the developmental disabilities area. Third, the research theme is mainly related to the field of practice and policy, but there is not much on paradigm, theory, philosophy, and academic research. The results of this study show that the trends related to lifelong learning for people with special needs for the past 20 years have focused on practical approach such as needs for lifelong learning and programs rather than paradigm and theoretical review. In addition to academic progress in lifelong learning for people with speical needs, there is a long-term perspective that needs to be considered on what grounds and where to go.
