국문 초록

이 글은 2017년 조기대선이후 부각된 대통령 지지자들의 정치 참여 특징-참여요인, 참여유형, 이념, 민주주의 의식, 정책 선호와 조직-을 분석하고 지지자들의 정치참여 행위가 정치문화의 단면-다원적 민주주의의 주권자인 시민-인지를 살펴보고자 한다. 연구방법은 일반적 특징을 토대로 소수의 대상자들과의 릴레이 소개와 면접을 통해 확인하는 방법을 취했다. 분석결과, 첫째, 인지 정향성. 이들은 노무현대통령 서거의 충격과 문재인대통령의 등장이 정치적 사건이나 인물에 대한 인지적 요소로 작용하였으며 활동의 요인이었다. 두 번째, 대의민주주의. 시민의 역동적인 정치참여에 비해 대의정치의 취약성에 대한 기존의 우려와는 달리 대의제를 통해 정치적 효능감을 얻고자 하는 의지가 강했다. 셋째, 스마트형 시민. 지지자들은 인터넷에 능숙하며 인터넷 네트워크를 적극 활용하여 대통령과 국가 정책에 대한 지지, 홍보, 반론을 전개하며 이에 견주는 상당한 지식 체계를 갖추고 있었다. 넷째, 이념의 복합성. 탈이념, 공동체주의를 지향하며 사회적으로는 진보 성향을, 경제적으로는 보수 성향을 보여주었다. 이들은 참여 민주주의에 대한 높은 정치지향성을 가지고 있다. 이는 정치문화 현상의 단면인 반면 참여 모티브는 공공성에 기반 한 민주주의 정체의 본질적 정치참여 보다 개인을 향한 충성심을 토대로 공공성으로 접근하는 참여로 정치 영역의 파벌화, 충돌 가능성이 제기된다. 향후 이들의 정치참여가 새로운 정치문화로 자리잡기위해서는 행위의 지속성이 축적 되어야 하며 더불어 환경적 요인도 중요한데 그것은 정치권의 이해와 수용 그리고 일반 시민들과의 융화 여부이다.

영문 초록

This article approaches the political and cultural theory of the political participation of the president’s supporters after the early presidential election in 2017. And analyze the characteristics of political participation of supporters: factors of participation, types of participation, ideology, democracy, policy preferences and organization. Also would like to examine whether the political participation of supporters is a facet of political culture-citizen, the sovereign of plural democracy. The research method was based on general characteristics and confirmed by introducing and interviewing relays with a small number of subjects. As a result, the first cognitive orientation. These factors contributed to political events and the recognition of the characters, such as the shock of the death of President Roh Moo-hyun and the appearance of President Moon Jae-in. Second, representative democracy. Despite the existing concern that representative politics is weak compared to the dynamics of current political citizens, the willingness to gain political efficacy through representatives was strong. Third, smart citizens. Proponents were well-versed in the Internet and had a strong knowledge system that actively utilized the Internet network to support, promote, and counter the president and national policies. Fourth, the complexity of ideology. It aims at post-idealism and communitarianism, but it is progressive in society and conservative in economics. They have a high political orientation to participatory democracy. This is a facet of political and cultural phenomena. On the other hand, participatory motifs are participatory due to loyalty towards individuals rather than the essential political participation of democratic identity based on publicity. Therefore, in order for their political participation to become a new political culture in the future, the scale of their actions must be sustainable and environmental factors are also important. It is the understanding and acceptance of politics and the harmony with the general public.
