영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to understand the unit plan change characteristics caused by building type shift of apartment and legalization of balcony extension. The results are summarized as follows. The building type change shows flat-type apartment to tower-type apartment in early 2000s. In recent years, the mixed-type or flat-type apartments become more popular again. The more important characteristic is that the legalization of balcony extension had affected building type of apartment complex as well as unit plan. During the early years of legalization, a simple maximization strategy of unit space through balcony extension under the existing unit plan were common. However, in 2010s, more apartments had adopted active unit plan change such as deeper unit with high aspect ratio.
