국문 초록

본 연구는 어머니의 온정적 양육행동과 초등학교 학년 자녀의 행복감의 관계에서 자아 존중감과 학교적응이 매개하는지를 살펴보는 것을 연구목적으로 한다 이 연구는 육아정책연구소에서 실시한 한국아 동패널연구 의 차년 년 조사에 참여한 가구 중에서 일반조사와 교사 온라인설문을 모두 참여한 가구의 아동 명을 대상으로 선정하였다 이 연구에서는 연구 대상의 인구학적 특성과 주요 변인의 기술통계 및 신뢰도 등의 산출을 위해 을 이용하여 분석하였다 또한 다중매개 검증을 위해 을 사용하였으며 변인들 간의 간접효과를 확인하기 위해 붓스트래핑과 팬텀 변수 를 사용하여 검증하였다 연구의 주요 결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다 첫째 초등학교 학년 시기에 어머니의 온정적 양육행동은 자녀의 행복감에 정적인 방향으로 나타났으나 통계적으로 유의한 수준은 아니었으며 자녀의 자아 존중감과 학교적응은 행복감에 직접 적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다 둘째 어머니의 온정적 양육행동은 자아 존중감과 학교적응을 매개효과를 통해 자녀의 행복감에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다 셋째 어머니의 온정적 양육 행동과 행복감의 관계에서 자아 존중감과 학교적응은 순차적 이중매개 하는 것으로 나타났다본 연구는 아동의 행복감에 어머니의 온정적 양육행동이 간접적인 영향을 미치며 자아 존중감과 학교 적응이 중요한 영향을 미친다는 근거를 제시함으로써 학령초기 아동의 행복감 증진을 돕기 위한 노력의 일환으로 자녀의 자아 존중감을 높이고 학교적응을 돕는 자녀의 연령에 적합한 부모의 양육행동에 대한 부모교육 프로그램 마련을 위한 기초를 제공하였다는데 큰 의의를 가진다

영문 초록

This study investigates to cause mediation of self-esteem and school adaptation of first graders in elementary school in the relationship between mother’s warmth parenting behaviors and her child who is the first grade in elementary school. In the study, the 1009 participants were chosen from the families who took participation in both the general research and online survey among 1598 families who were involved in the eight-year Panel Study on Korean Children(PSKC). The demographic characteristics of participants, descriptive statistics of the main variables and reliability were dealt with by SPSS 18. Multiple mediation effect was computed by Amos 18. The indirect effects among variables were tested by Bootstrapping and phantom variable. The results are as follows. First, mother s warmth parenting behaviors had positive influences on the first graders’ happiness. However, the effect was not statistically significant and both the child’s self-esteem and school adaptation had a direct influence on happiness. Second, mother’s warmth parenting behaviors had a indirect effect on child’s happiness through the mediation effect of self-esteem and school adaptation. Third, self-esteem and school adaptation of children served as sequential dual mediation in the relationship between mother’s warmth parenting behaviors and child’s happiness. In this study, it is suggested that mother’s warmth parenting behaviors indirectly affect children’s happiness, and children’s self-esteem and school adaption have a direct influence on their happiness. Therefore, the results can show the basis of the importance of parent education in order to enhance early school aged child’s happiness.
