영문 초록
A new soybean cultivar “Daemang” was released by the National Crop Experiment Station, RDA, in 2003. This cultivar was derived from the cross between Jangyeobkong and Seokryangputkong, the elite breeding line with large seed, in the summer season, 1991. The breeding line, SS91306-8-2-2, was selected and evaluated in yield trials from 1998 to 2000 at the National Crop Experiment Station, Suwon. Regional yield trials for this line, designated as Suwon 217, were performed from 2001 to 2003 over nine locations. Daemang has a determinate growth habit, white flower color, grey pubescence, yellow testa and yellow hilum color. The leaflet shape of this cultivar is ovoid, and plant height is shorter than Taekwangkong. It is moderate resistant to soybean mosaic virus (SMV) and resistant to the most troublesome soybean diseases. Daemang has large seed size (31.4 gr. per 100 seeds) and texture and chemical composition to be suitable for the raw material of the fermented soyfood and the tofu. The average yield in the regional adaptation yield trials over seven locations was 2.74 MT/ha, which was higher by 12% than check cultivar, Taekwangkong.
