영문 초록

“Haryeong” was bred through the potato breeding program at the National Institute of Highland Agriculture (NIHA). It was finally selected from the population derived from the cross between “Atlantic” as a female and “Superior” as a male parent in 1996. It has a round, smooth, light yellow-skinned tuber characteristics and high dry matter content. It showed high resistance to late blight (Phytophthora infestans) and leaf roll virus (PLRV), and also moderate resistance to PVY and common scab. According to the results of organic farming field evaluation with non-chemical application treatment in 2005, it also showed very low late blight infection rates 2.3% and 75.5 of AUDPC. Its mean tuber yield from the trial was 77% higher than that of “Superior”. Its mean tuber yield from the regional yield trials at 5 locations during 3 years was 40 ton/ha, and 6% higher than that of “Superior”. Its mean dry matter content at all locations was also higher than that of “Superior”. Its texture of steamed potatoes is very mealy and gives a good culinary taste.
