국문 초록

열왕기상 13장 11-32절과 20장 35-43절은 사자에 물려 죽은 무명의 예언자에 관한 이야기를 다루고 있는 병행 본문이다. 이 본문의 신학적 의미와 문학적 기능은 신명기 18장 14-22절과의 관계 속에서 이해되어야 한다. 필자는 이 본문 사이의 관계를 수사학적 분석을 통하여 그리고 ‘총론적 선포와 각론적 사례 내러티브’라는 구조적 관점에서, 이 세 본문의 문학적 상관관계를 통합적으로 검토하며 신명기 역사가의 신학적 메시지를 천착하고자 하였다. 이 세 본문의 구조적 상관관계는 신명기 법 규정이 두 개의 내러티브 사례들을 통하여 전개 강조되는 형식을 취하고 있다. 총론적 선포(신명기 법 규정[deuteronomic legislation, 신 18:14-22]) ⇨ 각론적 사례들(사례 내러티브 I [case narrative, 왕상 13:11-32] // 사례 내러티브 II [case narrative, 왕상 20:35-43]) 이 두 내러티브는 각각의 작은 문맥(micro-context)과 넓은 문맥(macro-context)에서 반드시 필요한 고유의 문학적 기능과 역할을 가지고 있으며 신명기 18장 14-22절에서 선포된 신명기 사가의 신학적 메시지를 표출한다. 이러한 문학적 얼개 안에서 이 두 본문은 서로 수사학적 내용적 병행을 이루면서 예언자들의 인간적 한계를 다루며 예언자들은 오직 하 나님의 말씀만을 충실히(“제 마음대로”[‘야지드’: presumptuously]행하지 아니하고) 선포해야 하는 의무와 책임을 가진 사람임을 강조한다.

영문 초록

1Kgs 13:11-32 and 1Kgs 20:35-43 are the parallel passages dealing with the story of an anonymous prophet who was killed by a lion. The theological contents and literary function of these texts should be understood in relation to Deut 18:14-22. I studied the theological message of these deuteronomistic texts, by reexamining holistically the literary correlation of these three texts on the basis of rhetorical analysis and the structural understanding of 'general proclamation of laws + particular case stories related to it.' The structural correlation of these three texts discloses the manner of developing a 'general' deuteronomic law into two 'particular' narratives. General proclamation(deuteronomic legislation, Deut 18:14-22) ⇨ Particular cases (narrative I, 1Kgs 13:11-32 // narrative II, 1Kgs 20:35-43) These two narratives have indispensible function and role in their own literary contexts (micro-context and macro-context), and manifest the theological message of the deuteronimist, which is proclaimed in Deut 18:14-22. These two narratives, showing the prophets' vulnerability of speaking their own thoughts in the name of God, emphasize that they have duty and accountability to proclaim only the words of God with faithfulness (not “presumptuously” [yāzȋd]).
