사회적기업가의 역량이 기업성과에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

사회적기업은 장기적인 경기침체로 소득불균형의 심화, 실업률 증가 등 경제위기와 사회양극화의 해결방안으로 탄생하게 되었다. 이런 문제를 해결하고자 사회적기업을 통해 정책적 지원을 하고 있으나 그 효과의 실효성은 사회적기업가의 역량에 따라 다르게 나타나고 있다. 이는 제한된 정책적 지원에서도 사회적기업가는 한 조직의 경영자이기 보다는 변화의 촉진자로서의 역할을 수행하기 때문에 나타난 결과로 사회적기업가의 역량은 무엇보다도 중요하다. 사회적기업의 경영효율성을 지향하는 정책으로 가고 있지만, 역량에 관한 실증연구는 아직 부족하다. 기존 연구는 사회적기업가 정신의 개념과 특징, 구성요소를 찾는 탐색적이고 기술적인 측면에 초점을 두고 있어 핵심역량을 명확하게 규명하지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 첫째, 사회적기업가의 실무적인 가치를 높이기 위해 역량을 핵심역량으로 구분하여 그 개념을 명확히 하고 둘째, 기업단위의 실증분석을 통해 역량의 효과성을 규명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구결과는 첫째, 사회적기업가의 기업가정신과 네트워크는 경제적 성과에 유의적인 영향을 미치며 둘째, 사회적 성과에서는 기업가정신과 네트워크, 시장정보지향성이 유의적인 영향을 미치고 있다. 시사점으로는 역량강화를 위한 체계적이고 지속적인 교육과 사회적기업가의 정기적인 네트워크 구축 활동, 새로운 비즈니스 모델 발굴지원 및 그에 적합한 성과측정의 시스템이 필요하다.

영문 초록

Social enterprises were born as a solution to the economic crisis and social polarization, including deepening income inequality and increasing unemployment due to the long-term economic slump. Although the government is providing policy support through social enterprises to solve these problems, the effectiveness of the policies depends on the capabilities of social entrepreneurs. This is because even in limited policy support, social entrepreneurs play a role as promoters of change rather than as managers of an organization, so the competence of social entrepreneurs is paramount. While we are moving toward the management efficiency of social enterprises, empirical studies on competence are still lacking. Existing research focuses on the concepts, features and components of the social entrepreneurship, so the core competences are not clearly identified. First, the purpose of this study is to clarify the concept by dividing capabilities into core competences to enhance the practical value of social entrepreneurs, and secondly, to establish the effectiveness of competencies through the empirical analysis of corporate units. First, the results of the study show that entrepreneurship and network of social entrepreneurs have a significant impact on economic performance, and secondly, entrepreneurship, network and market information orientation have a significant impact on social performance. Implications include a systematic and ongoing education for capacity building, regular network building activities by social entrepreneurs, support for finding new business models and a suitable performance measurement system.
